I was happy with these at first. Six months in, I discovered they weren't waterproof. Alpinestars replaced them for me. Much better, until now (18 mos later). The finish of the boots is horrible. Both are badly scarred up and look awful. They're fairly comfortable, but the Velcro doesn't stay attached well and I don't think they would be very beneficial in an accident. AlpineStars only has a ONE YEAR warranty on their products, so I'm out of luck. I do NOT recommend these boots; they won't last.
A nice boot!

To those worrying about the Velcro, do one side at a time and it stays put. Fit great, a little stiff but breaking in fine. They seem very safe in the event of a wreck and keep my tootsies warm\dry.
A great boot

I researched boots for several months before I made this purchase. I tried on higher priced boots than these but just couldn't make myself part with that much cash. I tried on less expensive boots and decided you get what you pay for. However, there is a line where a good value gives way to just wearing a name. Glad I made the choice I did. No regrets here.

I have read the reviews from individuals who take them out of the box, put them on and hate them. I have put over 5k on mine and they are very comfortable. It took a few rides to break them in. I have just normal feet, not wide, my toes don't spread out like a frog. If you have a normal foot, these will be great boots. At this price point you are not going to great a boot that will last for ten years. Please keep that in mind.

It was time to replace my worn out Icon Accelerants so I ordered these and received them today. They run narrow but I ordered my exact size and I think 1/2 size up would have been too large. Hopefully they will fit a little better once broken in. Very high grade leather and well constructed. Hope they last as long as the Icons. Would have ordered the Icons again but they look a lot like Frankenstein shoes.

Very functional, velcro is convenient, but might not hold up. I bought them to ride in during our rainy fall weather, they're not for walking around in. Would happily buy again. Wish they had a pull loop too.

The only consistent complaint is that the construction is not really suited for much walking. The velcro inevitably would tear loose; I got in the habit of loosening as I took to my feet. They proved strongly waterproof. Its waterproof is now gone. The velcro's holding power is greatly reduced.I've been riding 30 years, so I considered this strong performance. (I don't like lifetime oil or 15k tires)

Found these to be of poor fitment, and velcro is very ineffective, constantly having to re-affix, they work loose after a few steps. I am dissapointed and do not recommend this product

I wanted a boot that did not have laces nor made me look like a "storm trooper". I have not fully tested the waterproof aspect, but so far they have handled everything I have thrown at them. The fitment is not bad, I was able to walk around in them without the velcro letting loose. I have not had them long enough to rate the durability any higher. They are a good looking boot that should handle 90% of the rides I go on.
Looks good, performs bad.

So long as you don't need to bend your foot up towards your shin AT ALL then these boots are fine. As soon as you bend your foot up, like when walking or when you lift your toes to downshift, then the velcro straps come undone. The velcro straps are the only things holding the boots to your feet. There is no zipper or laces (obviously). I have no idea how well they protect against water. Within 5 minutes of putting them on they instantly went back into the box for a RMA...
