Sidi Vortice Boots

It was thought that the award winning Sidi Vertigo Corsa boot was the pinnacle of sport boot technology. Until today that is as Sidi is proud to introduce the next step in the evolutionary chain: The “Vortice”. The latest in technology combined with the great skill and workmanship of Sidi’s Italian based factory technicians’ blend in a whirl of fresh solutions to satisfy a rider’s desire for safety and comfort.

Features:
  • Constructed of Lorica and is lined with Teflon vented mesh. Only Sidi goes to trouble and expense of creating a multiple liner boot system in its racing boots. Lorica® is a composite micro fiber material created from strands that are so fine, each one is less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection.
  • Sidi has added a small elastic panel to aid in a smooth zipper operation as it allows a bit of movement via the elastic as the zipper passes over the rider’s ankle ball
  • The rear upper part of the boot is made up of the following mechanisms:
  • The Tecno Calf Tensioner mechanism adjusts the leg circumference. Placed in the back of the boots upper, it works through a nylon wire that hooks directly to the shin plate
  • The Tecno Shin Tensioner mechanism helps the Tecno Calf Tensioner close the leg upper on the front part of the boot. The two lateral nylon braces join the ankle joint with two screws that are protected by nylon caps. This system is reinforced with fiberglass, supports the ankle and is easy to replace. This system allows excellent flex movement front-to-back while being firm side-to-side
  • Tecno Instep Tensioner, a fastening system on the front part of the foot, on the instep
  • Shock Absorbing Heel Cup
  • Non-vented
  • Shin Plate
  • Gear Change Pad
  • Vortice Slider: toe slider is made in nylon reinforced with fiberglass. It is fitted with a new air intake and an innovative alloy insert
  • Racing SRS Sole: all new sole is constructed of a polyurethane and rubber blend
  • Currently Sidi products can only be shipped to U.S. customers

These are an incredible pair of boots, got the Vernice Blue. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. Fits like a glove and the vents work really well. I get plenty of looks and comments. Although it is a straight up track boot, it will protect your feet in all street riding. I hope to get a Vertigo Air for everyday riding. Superior boot..accept nothing less.

In My opinion these boots are great for Dual sports also. I love the side protection. you can't break an ankle with these! Just a bit short in height wise but overall I love em. High Priced? Yes! Over priced, Him-haw on that. Great boots! havent found Better!

Since I couldn’t try on other top line boots to compare them to, I don’t know how relevant my opinion is but they feel good they fit good they seem to have great protection. And since I started riding with lineman boots back in 1948 how can I complain. My last boots were Sidi lower level, they fit great so I went with the best Sidi had to offer and I am happy with them.

These boots offer the protection and styling I am looking for. Although the cost is high, I feel the features are worth it. After all, I only get one pair of feet in life! Putting the boots on at first does take some time but becomes easier with time as you get used to putting them on. Overall I feel that I made a good choice and am satisfied with their performance to date.

I love the boot, Fit and comfort are underpass compared to other boots I have owned..did not like the price though if they where just 100 dollars cheaper a lot more would be sold but over all these are the best featured boots on the market love the replaceable parts but getting the parts when you need them is a little harder to do but they are out there if you look

Typical Sidis. I've ridden bicycles for years wearing Sidis. These prove to be just as good as the bicycle shoes. The only complaint is the steep price, but you get what you pay for.
