There's only so much you can do ...

When one is wearing heavy riding boots. I find that rolling the tops over boots creates a better cooling effect than allowing them to work down the calf and bunch up but I can't say that they are noticeably cool in terms of overall comfort. Definitely better than all cotton crew type socks so they are worth the purchase. Just don't expect them to magically cool hot weather feet in riding boots.

Won't buy again - pulled and pilled immediately

Comfortable enough, but after trying them on with a new pair of boots and wearing them for a few minutes the threads started to pull out and the material was pilling. Perhaps it was a pair from a bad batch, but I returned them - I expect A LOT more from a pair of ~ $20 socks. MS gave me no issue when returning them.

    Nice socks

Very comfortable and soft socks. I find them to be a bit on the warm side, but that may just be the boots I have. No problems with doing long rides in them.

    Good Socks

Wasn't sure what to expect, but they have worked good so far. I was concerned about the thinner material used in the majority of them but were very comfortable under a pair of riding boots. Durability is questionable but only time will time.

    Alpinestars well worth it

For my first two pairs of motorcycle boots, I didn't know which socks would fit best so I bought four different pairs. These Alpinestars fit well with my tighter-fitting short boots that I wore around the house inside to break in. I washed them once so far in cold water and line-dried them and they retained their shape nicely.

    Summer socks on the go

For the price of these socks, it's a great purchase, especially when you are wearing full length boots. Comfortable for the short ride and/or long rides. Summer/Spring/fall socks.

    Good, Not Great

Socks are comfortable, but not as good as the Cortech socks I purchased from Motorcycle Superstore. Don't seem to wear as well.

    Awesome

Love these socks. Pricey but worth every penny. Wear them year round from the 90's to the 40's and my feet stay comfy and dry.

Good socks, maybe not for summer though

These are advertised as summer/wicking socks but after wearing them for a 5 hour day of 85+ degree riding under riding boots my toes had that prune look (like I had been in the bath too long) and as a result of this moisture build up developed a minor blister under one of the balls of my feet. Perhaps these are not truly for the summer! On the flip side, they are very comfortable, help reduce fatigue, and I am sure they will be perfect for cooler days. Regarding care, they can only be washed on delicate and air dried so if you want to wash and wear them on consecutive days that is NOT an option and you should buy 2 pairs. I would buy them again.

    great socks

Like all A*, fit, finish, and durability seem to be top notch, these socks are both warm in the rain and cool weather and they perform even better in hot weather, I absolutely love these

    Overall great product!

I've only done a handful of rides in these socks thus-far but the quality and comfort seem excellent. Two of my rides were 4+hr 'spirited' runs in the mountains w/ 80* heat and high humidity in Alpinestars boots. Moisture wicking was great and oddly enough the elastic tension is strong enough that I feel like they helped w/ circulation on the longer rides which = less fatigue! Long-term wear is questionable 'cause the material is a bit thin in some sections, and the Silver idea has medical merit but its doubtful the quantity used in this sock will have any real benefit (read: gimmick). Basically, if they last, they're worth it just for the comfort.

    Alpinestars - Summer Touring Socks

Comfortable socks, but way too hot for summer riding. I'm wearing them with the women's Alpinestars Stella S-MX boot. It hasn't even gotten above 70 degrees F and they are too hot for me. I'm going to try a pair of polypro boot socks and see if those are cooler. The boots will probably be too big with a thinner sock, but hopefully my feet will be less sweaty.

    Cool Socks!

These socks fit well and due to design and construction let air move around feet. If boots have air vents – socks allow feet to breath even better. So far, I’m pleased and I’m enjoying having comfortable feet on hot days.
