    Canyon Dancer Bar Harness II

An evolution of the original groundbreaking Bar Harness, Canyon Dancer combined user feedback and its own in-house testing to give you the new ultimate in street motorcycle tie downs, the Bar Harness II. Made with stronger straps and revised cups to work on the fattest and softest of grips, the Bar Harness II refines the process of securing and trailering your bike to the highest level.
    • New design features glass filled injection molded polycarbonate cups with steel lay-in that replaces the old handlebar cuff
    • Cross straps are held further away from switchgear
    • Cups eliminate possible damage to soft grips and hold the cross straps further out on the bars to clear a wider variety of fairing
    • Cups are sized to fit the fattest grips in the industry
    • Steel D-ring lat-ins prevent losses even after many years of weather and abuse begin to weaken the polycarbonate cup
    • Heavier thread with more stitches for greater strength
    • Short harness fits bars up to 28" wide, Sport/Standard fits bars up to 32" wide, x-wide bars up to 36" wide, xx-wide bars up to 40" wide
    • Item # 13223

    Nice Tie Down

I just got this tie down, and it is a huge improvement over my other one, which didn't have end caps like this one. The old one caused issues with my handlebar controls and grips due to pulling inwards when tightening down. This new Canyon Dancer tie down stays at the end of the grips and the rigid cups seem sturdy enough to keep everything there. Time will tell, but so far a big improvement.

    Great product

I use it to steady the bike on my Kendon single trailer until I can get straps on the front forks and rear suspension. Then it acts as a back up. Don't want to tighten this strap down too tight for fear of breaking off aluminum handlebars on my 2011 Kawasaki Concours.

    Engineer

I borrowed the Canyon Dancer pull downs from a buddy for hauling a few scooters, ranging in 125cc to 250cc. After borrowing them 3x, I decided to finally purchase them. It works perfectly without any issue. The clever design is easy to use and places stress across the handlebars. Important: I did speak with Canyon Dancer in regards to handlebars with end weights. They recommend removing the weights prior to use. I highly recommend this product.

    Canyon Dancer II

Trailered my 2008 Goldwing down to St. George Utah and back for a total of 2,200 miles. Completely destroyed/bent both bar weights. I am fabricating two nylon inserts to evenly distribute the pressure over the whole grip surface rather than the current concentration on the front and back of the cups when cinched down.

    Worked Well - I Think!

Shipped my son's bike to him in California after a total rebuild in Texas. Unfortunately, the tie down straps pulled the handlebars down at the ends while in transit, but I think this may have been because I hadn't fully tightened the clamp. It got there OK in any case, but that could have been a disaster.

    good idea

I bought a classic bmw r80rt from a dealer and didn't want to destroy the fairing hauling it home. He loaned me one to haul it home and it worked great so I bought one for future trips. I had never seen one before and was very impressed.

    Makes hauling easy

I heard about the Canyon Dancer through word of mouth. It attaches easily and makes it easy to attach cargo straps to my Genuine Buddy scooter. I no longer have to worry about damaging my scooter by attaching cargo straps to my mirror mounts during hauling

    Easy to use

I've used it only once so far, but that was a 450 mile trip and there was no wear on my Aprilia at all.

    can bend/tweak bar ends

used this a couple times to haul my bike, ended up tweaking my bar ends a little, if your bike doesn’t have any bar ends then get this one, if your bike does, then I’d suggest get the first version of this product. Either way it’s a quality product that does what it’s supposed to do

    Destroys handle bar ends

Seems like a great product but beware if you own a touring bike. I bought the product and it held my Gold Wing 1800 just fine. However it put undue torque on the handle bar ends. The bar weights the ends connect to cracked. I am going to drill out the ends of the caps that fit over the handle bars for future use of this product. One could remove the bar ends each time.

    Canyon dancer bar haeness

Puts too much pressure on the handlebars and front suspension. Caused the bars to fold down damaging the gas tank. This was on a HD electraglide. I do not recommend these to anyone.
