I bought the Trail-Tech Computer to keep track of things that I couldn't before, such as rpm, engine-temp, etc, to give me the heads-up if something was going on with my bike on a trail ride. It's a perfect thing to get if your interested in doing the same. Great Price as well.
Easy-peasy, and exactly what I wanted.

The unit installed with near-zero effort and frustration, and the functions in the unit are exactly what I was looking for in a computer for my bike. My handlebars are pretty busy, including: handguards, kill switch,GPS, horn mount, and steering damper, so I had to make my own mount out of a piece of scrap metal. but that wasn't too difficult. I have no battery and it works perfect running on my headlight circuit which is not regulated or rectified.
Probably return

This is probably a decent unit as far as function, but the mounts are worthless. The one it comes with is flimsy plastic and would no doubt break very easily. I even bought the dash kit (another $50) which comes with an aluminum bracket which would be great except that it puts the gauge down way to low to really even see. If they're going to make something for a bike it should actually work on the bike. And be ready to splice. No factory harness connections either.

This thing is great. It is made for Dirt Bikes and ATV's, but with a little improvising, I mounted this on a 1985 Yamaha Maxim in order to replace the original instrument cluster. I made a custom mount for it and it works great. Does everything you could ever need. Speedometer is dead on accurate after using the formula in the manual based upon wheel size and distance traveled. It was a nice modern upgrade to an older street bike. I get a lot of compliments on this.

Mounting could have been better but over all I’m happy with the product. Put it on my 250r and works like a champ!

After replacing my stock hubs and rims with Excel ones, the stock ODO on my 07WRF450 wouldn't fit. I chose the Vapor as a replacement. The installation was easy (just a little time consuming) and now in addition to MPH and ODO, I have a RPM readout, fluid temp, total ride time, etc. The price is right for the value. Mounting the head unit was the most challenging given BRP triple, Scotts stabilizer, fat bar, etc. However, stock bar setups should be a breeze. I would highly recommend this unit.
