Maxima Chain Oil

Great chain lube without all the sticky white mess all over the bike that never comes off. Recommended highly.

Good synthetic oil

I use it on my R6 since it was new every 500 miles. I don't need to adjust the chain tension until I had to replace new tires at 12000 miles. I just spray the top side of the chain at the rear sprocket. The bottle is still not empty yet even though I lost the straw (more oil is wasted) and also use it on another bike.

Great chain lubricant

I use it for my electric goped and it works just fine. Squirt a little on chain and wipe off excess and you're good to go.

Works well for me.

I've used nothing but Maxima Synthetic Chain Guard on my chain for almost about 39,000 miles. My chain is holding up well. I think the frequency of use is key. I lube my chain every 200 to 300 miles. If I ride in the rain, I lube it more frequently. 39,000 on the same chain is pretty good and I think I'll get a lot more miles out of it.

Let down

I read this stuff doesn't sling off. I bought 5 different lubes at the same time to try them out and this one most definatley slings off and makes a mess. I have only tried 4 of the brands so far but this one ranks #4

Messy.

I used to use the Maxima chain wax in the gold can. I switched to this...and what a mess. I'm going back to chain wax or something else!

Strings off everywhere

After the third time trying to use this lube, I am done. I just cleaned and lubed it, wiped off the excess, waited a couple hours, wiped again, waited overnight, wiped again and my back wheel is covered in lube after a trip around the block. It is very tacky and does a great job as a lube, but it strings off everywhere. It is crystal clear, lubes well, and goes on easy so I gave it a 3.

Horrible...

I was recommended this over the Bel-ray chain lube that I usually use. So I thought what the heck, I'll try it. It's clear I'll give them that, but even after letting it dry for days it still throws it everywhere. You spend more time cleaning the old lube off the surrounding areas everytime than you do cleaning the chain and applying the new lube. On top of that it doesn’t last long at all. I will be going back to Bel-ray. Thinking about giving the can away after 3 uses, I dislike it so much.
