Great fit

Very nice jacket and definitely very stylish. I'm 6 feet and 210, wear an XL top in most everything. This fits perfect!!! Came with chest cushions and a soft back protector. Great elbow protection too. Good deal for $351. I have long monkey arms and they reach all the way to my wrist!

Jacket

Overall , a great fit except for the sleeves But, if I got a smaller size, the sleeves would be OK, but the rest of the jacket would be too small.

Best purchase I've ever made.

So I've only had this jacket for a day so far, but I can already tell that this was the best purchase I've ever made. I always do a ton of research before I buy anything, and I ended up going with the Gunner WP. I bought this jacket mainly for winter and colder parts of fall and spring because my other jacket is barely meant for the warmer parts of 3 seasons. Right when my new jacket arrived, I went for a test drive in 30°F weather with just a light t-shirt underneath the jacket and a balaclava on my head to keep my neck warm. I was out for 30 minutes at highway speed and didn't even get a chill!!! I ride a Ninja 650 with a small windshield and I didn't feel any wind through it. I could've been out for hours! I'm so impressed with this jacket! Not only does it keep me warm, but it's very comfortable and sporty looking at the same time! The fit was perfect for me too. I'm 5'9", around 185lbs with a slight athletic build. I wear a medium t-shirt and went with the medium jacket. The arms and torso are the perfect length. I'm not sure how much room I have for wearing heavier clothing underneath, but I bet I could get a sweater on if I needed to for some reason. I doubt this is the only jacket out there that can keep you this warm, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else!

Solid jacket - keeps wind out, minor issues

Solid jacket, does what it's supposed to and measurement guides were good, use them when ordering to be sure of your size. Just a few things to watch out for when buying: 1. Zipper - The zipper at the bottom of the jacket comes undone fairly often, meaning I have to unzip it and zip it up all the way, kind of annoying. 2. Back insert - The back protection insert is just foam. Be aware as it will not do much, if anything, to protect you in a crash. I bought a nucleon kr-2i back protector insert separately to make up for this (50$) and it fit perfectly. Oh and a bonus - it's pretty waterproof, I biked in heavy rain for 40 minutes without getting wet, but I'm not sure how it will fare for longer trips.

Sporty warm-weather jacket

Pros: Typical Alpinestars quality, style, and protection Cons: Narrow-ish temperature comfort zone - when it's hot, you're gonna sweat I purchased this as a warm-weather jacket to go with a cool-weather jacket - my first time going with seasonal jackets. I had high expectations for the Perforated GP-R's suitability for hot summer weather - maybe too much so, as it is a full-leather jacket. The vents and perforations help, but the leather is heavy and thick - though that's great for protection. Over a t-shirt and with vents open, I'm comfortable up to about 90 deg F, but above that I'm cooking. That said, it's tolerable, so I'm not going to buy a textile mesh jacket that would be better for extreme heat but offer less protection. The GP-R does make safety a top priority with CE-rated shoulder and elbow/forearm armor plus external plastic shoulder sliders. You have to buy the Nucleon chest and back protectors separately - which I did. They install easily and fit comfortably making for protection that is about as good as you'll find in a street-oriented jacket. Fit and style are typical Alpinestars - excellent. On my slim build, fit is properly snug and true to chest size and arm length - about as good as if it was custom-tailored. If you're portly in the middle, it may fit tight there - though the GP-R does have Velcro waist adjustment straps, so that might help. The elastic panels work impressively well to allow freedom of movement on the bike, as does the low-profile padded collar. The sporty styling looks good to me -especially in the white/black/red one I got.
