3rd one on DL1000

Wedged it on, balanced it and down the road for 2700 miles. Most of the trip on the slab. 25% of the trip in a drizzling rain with a little standing water. Performance as expected with the other two I have worn out. This time I ordered the "E" version with a little more tread depth in hopes it will last a little longer. Marketed as the OEM for the Tenere. Mildly reactive to tar snakes. That may be the lightness of the bike though. My Valkyrie steps out a lot more. This is more of a slight squirm. 225 pound rider with full load of tools and camping gear. Tire is just starting to show a little profile. I will continue to watch the sales and keep ordering fronts and rears. I see no reason to switch. I do not off road this bike, but I did spend 20 or so miles on a dirt road with the last one. No issues. I maintain the speed limit for the most part and would not consider myself an aggressive rider. No worries with this tire. I don't think about it, and isn't that the best thing you can say about your gear?

Battle Wings on a V-strom 1K

Hey All~ Just turned over the 1st 500 miles on the new Battle Wings on my V-strom1K. Can't tell you how good these tires are... I'm an old cafe racer from the 70's and remember what a new set of Dunlop K81's felt like on the old Honda 500/4. These are leaps and bounds ahead. Ride on the BW's is smooth over the rough stuff, quiet on the grooved highways and instill confidence in the mountains. I know the V-strom is way heavier than the old 500 but these tires make me feel 300 lbs lighter on the V. My wife even noticed the smoothness on her first ride. Can't say enough about these. Not been in the wet yet but imagine they will shine there too. If in doubt, buy 'em anyway! You won't regret it!

Bridgestone 150/70-17 501E Battle Ax

This is the OEM tire for the Yamaha Super Tenere. Notice when I wrote the size and model number in the title, I put it as a 501E. The E is important. It is the designation meaning that this the tire for The Super Tenere. It has a little deeper thread than the regular 501. If you are going to use this bike mostly for street use, this is the only tire that will give decent mileage. You can get around 9000 miles out of it. In reality this is a street tire that does well on hard packed dirt roads. I have ridden the bike on the North Georgia Mountain roads and it does a very good job on all of the tight twisty roads there.

Bridgestone Battlewing

Origional equipment on my F700GS 2013, needed to replace at 6800 miles due to screw in tread. Tire arrived in three days, excellent service and price point. Tires perform well on wet or dry pavement. Would recommend Battlewings for all round service, performance. Also reccomended MC Superstore for great service and support.

Love this tire. Smooth ride, great in the bends, and superb traction. Haven't had them in the wet so I'll have to update my review next winter. Also, will update at the end of their life to let you know about tread life.

Great street tire for V-Strom

Just put these tires on before a 4,000 mile ride which included Deals Gap. They worked great for both highway and twisties. I switched from Anakee II's because I wasn't going to be doing any off road riding and didn't want the unnecessary road noise on the highway. These worked perfect and wear evenly.

I have standardized on these tires for my GS. Good price, excellent wear and they hold well in corners wet and dry. As long as Bridgestone offers this tire, this is the tire I'll use.

V-Strom

These tires are perfect on my vstrom 650. The Wee handles great in all weather conditions with the Battle Wings on front and back. Great performance in 100+ degree heat and freezing temps below 30. I ride a lot and I ride hard - these tires make it easier for me to ride safe.

Second set

Ordering my second set for my dl650 looked around for a different set to try out,but from my experience and what research I've done, Battlewings are the way to go. Good milage out of these tires to boot.

Excellent VStrom tire

This is the second one I've put on the rear. Last one had over 10k miles on it and I don't "take it easy" on my tires. Good overall traction for a 90/10 tire, obviously better on street but still fair or better on trails and harder pack dirt. Sidewalls are quite rigid and give good feel in stability and cornering.

Bridgestone Battle Wings (Front & Rear) on Suzuki V-Strom 650

These are some great tires. I rode them lightly for 100 miles to break them in. The next day I took some twisties pretty hard, and the tires felt very stable in the turns....much better than the stock trail wings. Traction is excellent in dry pavement. The tires do pretty well on gravel, but at higher speeds (over 30mph) I felt that the rear end was a little loose, but that's to be expected on tires intended for 90% street. I haven't ridden on wet pavement yet, and after just a few hundred miles can't really comment on tread life, but so far it appears to be an excellent value.
