2 defective so far

I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I am on my 3rd one of these in 5 months. The first two were replaced due to a defect which the inner plastic breather cap eventually just falls right out of the center. Whatever they use as an adhesive just disintegrates and it no longer holds the breather cap in place. I am having my last one sent to me, if it fails i will be returning the set of cap and LED fuel gauge.

Threads are backwards

The threads are backwards. Seriously, this does not work on my 05 Sportster 883XL low. :( Not a fit. Will not recommend. Is this a factory discrepency?

On the fence.....

This gas cap looks good, and for the most part, I am happy with it. The only problem is that the ratchet part of the cap does not lock securely every time after it clicks. A couple of times the ratchet cap would unscrew itself (from engine vibration). It does work well when it locks, but every once in awhile, I have to play with it to get it to stay tight. In defense of the cap, it may not be applicable for my 2004 Sportster 1200C. It said it would fit my bike when I ordered it, but it doesn't appear to be a perfect match.
