Comfort in Action ST - Wind Balaclava

Windproof tubular shaped balaclava. 3D pattern. 180° of guaranteed windproof protection thanks to the Windstopper® 3 layer fabric that covers the neck and chest area.

The windproof and highly breathable ultra thin Windstopper® membrane is laminated between two fabrics. It prevents wind from cooling the body by creating a layer of warm, dry air next to the skin, whilst no impeding natural perspiration. Windstopper® membranes not only block the wind-chill factor when riding at any speed, but they are also absolutely breathable while performing.

    Features:
    • Thin balaclava head protection combined with fleece neck protection
    • Protects head, neck and upper-chest from the cold wind
    • Gore Windstopper fleece eliminates wind chill

The area that is made for you to look through could have been made slightly larger, but other than that, I love the comfort of the product and how well it does what it is made to do.

    Balaclava

The weather is not as cold in south Ga. until you are going 65 MPH . I have worn it a couple of times on 40* mornings and it works great . I would recommend it .

    Great purchase!

I'm not an expert on balaclavas. I just read all the reviews here at Motorcycle Superstore and went with one. I'm very pleased! Comfortable, long enough in front (although back of the neck IS exposed). The only "issue" is that the fabric near the mouth/nose isn't very breathable. This was by design, of course, to protect against wind. The problem this can cause is fogging up visors/glasses. My suggestion? Get a better fog-proof visor or find a chemical to help alleviate that issue.

    Decent Balaclava

I read reviews that the back was too short & it is. The face hole is a little small. The outside of the hole touches the corners of my eyes. The top, which is thin so it can fit under a helmet, already has a run in it & I've only had it about a month. I have a balaclava from EMS that I've had for years & it still looks brand new.

    ST - Wind Balaclava

Nice product, fits well and is bigger around the base than some others which helps block the wind better.

    Just a balaclava

Nothing to rave or complain about. Just the same ole balaclava. I had a ski balaclava (lost it a week ago) and it fit better and performed better at half the price. The Chest extension is a gimmick IMO. If it is cold enough to have it make a difference then I switch to a winter jack and helmet. Most of the time it is in the way. Must put on the balaclava before the jacket otherwise you must tuck it in.

    GREAT PRODUCT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was happily surprised when I put it on & it fit, my helmet is a 4xl. I love the way it breaks the wind, as advertised, & keeps my head warm. By the way, for those who don't think that it gets cold in Florida, I am talking about keeping me warm on the coldest day so far which was 23 degrees.

Comf' in Action Wind Balacl' Review

The Comfort in Action Balaclava Seems to do just what it is supposed to. On a 30 degree day it will keep out 90% of the wind. A little condensation occurs when I cover my nose at low speeds but that quickly goes away at 40mph and up. I usually wear it just below my nose. The back is a little short but it doesn't cause any cold air to enter. The fit is perfect but for a full 5 star rating I would have prefered a little more overall length. I would recommend this to anyone. Excellent value.

    Balaclava - Comfort in action

Kept me warm enough but had a problem with fogging glasses. When you breathe out normally from your nose the humid air comes up to the eye area and fogs your glasses. Need to breathe out thru mouth with lips set to direct breath down.

Comfort In Action ST - Wind Balaclava

This Balaclava is very nice. It truly stops the wind. It’s very easy to notice when you are riding at 70mph and your face and neck is warm when its 35 outside! I truly recommend this balaclava.

    Works

This is not an insulated piece around the top of the head, it is quite thin around the top of the head but comfortable and will not add bulk to your head so your helmet will fit the same as without it. There is some stitching, though thin, around the top so if you are bald you may feel the stitching. There is some insulation around the neck, chin and mouth but still thin enough to be comfortable and it blocks the wind quite well. Though this works quite well to stop the wind from getting around your neck and chin there is one drawback; the fabric is so good at cutting the wind that it also restricts your breath and makes it somewhat hard to breathe with it on. Solution; I cut a hole where my mouth is, problem solved. Just wish the company would put the mouth slit in it with stitching so that it would not unravel. Some have commented that it is short in the back, yes it is, but not short enough for me to feel any wind on the back of my neck. Besides, it's not the back of my neck that is the problem when it is cold.

Best fit and feel of 3 that I have tried.

Description says; Universal fit. I have a Large head and wear a XXL Helmet and this fits just fine. I also have no problem with vision with this on. Though this works quite well to stop the wind from getting around your neck and chin there is one drawback; the fabric is so good at cutting the wind that it also restricts your breath and makes it somewhat hard to breath with it on. Solution; I cut a hole where my mouth is, problem solved. Just wish the company would put the mouth slit in it with stitching so that it would not unravel, (I hand stitched mine). Some have commented that it is short in the back, yes it is, but not short enough for me to feel any wind on the back of my neck. Besides, it’s not the back of my neck that is the problem when it is cold. I have used this in 28 degree weather and it works very good and is quite comfortable.

    works perfectly

Works perfectly. I use it with glasses, pull it under my nose. At highway speeds wind is not noticed. Long enough in back to fit under the collar. If it gets super cold I may add a fleece cap under the full-face helmet. Perfect service as usual from Motorcycle Superstore.

    Balaclava

Such a thin and simple addition to your helmet and what a warm wind stopping product. Very good finish on the seams. Great wind protection on the front, nice and long neck line. Great product. Well worth the price.
