I wanted to try the AM-26 as affront tire on my Goldwing TRIKE. Other than being noisy under braking, this tire will probably last 25 to 30,000 miles. I have 15,000 miles now and still have a lot more miles to go.

I have a 110/80x18 (also a front/rear though not listed as such here, it has the arrows for both) and am running it on a Honda ST1100. Grips well in the dry, and is okay in the rain. Not used it long enough to fully estimate the life but it looks almost new after 1534 miles in Texas heat.

Worked great from the first ride on it and stuck to the road good. Had about a week of rain and it still stuck to the road. No complaints about this tire and would buy another one. Not sure about the tread life only got about 400 miles on it, but it still looks like the day I got it.

Ran a set of these on my 08 KTM 990 Adventure for a trip out west. They rode and handled very well. I load up pretty heavy for traveling. 45L Touratech panniers and a KTM 46L top case full of food, water, spares, gear, etc.. Tires cornered briskly and predictably thru the twisties in CO and UT. Front went about 15K and I ended up going thru 2 rears which is reasonable mileage! Profile of the front tire that makes it handle on the road so well makes it a handful in sand! All in all a really good tire if you keep it where it belongs!

Great grip, poor life span

I have these tires on my KTM 525. They offer excellent grip in both wet and dry weather, and never slip. Unfortunately, the rear tire is shot after 1800 miles. The front looks brand new after the same distance. I definitely did not get the life out of the rear tire that was suggested by previous reviews.

Best bias-ply out there!

I have Avon Roadriders on my Ninja/EX 500 and these tires are better than the other bias-plys I've tried. I put 9k miles on my rear on this last set. I ride in all conditions here in Central Texas: rain, wind, cold, 100+ degrees; city, highway, twistys, track. I'm not putting anything else on this bike.

These are very nice tires. Well matched and very grippy. If you ride bmw r65 ls then try these English beauties and you'll throw rocks at your 'other' tires.

Wet grip terrible. Long life.

This tire seems to have very little wet grip. Great if you like spinning your wheels. Not so great if you like staying on the road. On the plus side tire wear seems good.

Go To Tire for Small Bikes

This is the go-to tire for my Ninja 500R. My first rear went for 11,000 miles, I'm still on my first front now at 14,000 miles. I ride very aggressively too. I ride year round, 20 degrees F to 110 degrees F, rain or shine, these tires perform admirable in all conditions. The perfect tire for real world riding.
