I'm a happy first time customer.

I'm very pleased with the sound of these pipes. They sound so much deeper than stock and they thump hard off the line. Yes, they are loud and if you put them on a bike like mine that has 5 gears running high RPMs at interstate speed, you may want earplugs (or the quiet baffles). That said, no one tailgates me any more, and on multi-lane roads all vehicles on either side of me give PLENTY of space. I installed the pipes myself and found the instructions to be satisfactory; however if you're not an aircraft mechanic like myself, teaming online video instruction with the paper should make it a breeze. The pipes are of very high quality, and come with all hardware for install. You may have to re-use some of your stock hardware and if your bike does not run O2 sensors, you will need to use the plugs provided with the kit. The matte black heat shields look great on my bike even though a lot of the engine bay is chrome. The price is very nice for what you get with these pipes, and after 800 miles since installing them, I'm still impressed every time I roll on the throttle. Great product, Vance & Hines; great price and quick shipping Motorcycle Superstore. I'm a happy first time customer.

High Quality

This exhaust system is definitely high quality. The materials and build are very well done. The welds are professional and look and feel like they will hold up for a long time. I also noticed a much stronger pull all through the power band. I did not have the bike dyno'ed, but it feels stronger. The tone is deep and sounds more like a small block V-8 than a bike. It sounds great! I also installed a Stage 3 Jet Kit from Factory Pro, so I can't say that all of the performance gains are from the exhaust. Installation note: the heat shields are a pain to put on. I took one star off on installation because the heat shield slightly rubbed the rear brake pedal, and I had to "finagle" it quite a bit to get the brake to function properly. I think that's a common issue on other exhaust systems that have bigger than factory headers. I would recommend this product.

Cobra slashcuts for VTX 1300

These slashcuts sound great but they do NOT fit my VTX1300 well. I bought mine in 2010 but the only way I get to use them is to hook up only one of the main braces.

Unreal- The pipes were easy to put on and when I come down the street, heads are turning. Vance & Hines- that says it all, you guys rock. Thank you.
