Great boots

The Tucan is a great boot for those who like adventure either on highway or dirt, is a Gore Tex boot and work perfectly on the rain and by crossing rivers. It is ver confortable to walk too. Highly recommended.

The skinney

Bought these for mostly street riding with the possibility of adventure riding. Initially putting them on felt tight but that went away as they broke in. Did have an absolute annoying squeak when you would walk. What I found is on the outside of the boot they ran a piece that would protect the outside of your ankle up into a pocket at the bottom of the upper plastic. These pieces rubbing together drove me absolutely crazy as I became a spectacle walking. After finding the source I cut the 2"tapered pieces off and now no squeak. Other than that these boots are great and I would buy them again. They are water proof when riding in the rain though I have not stood in a puddle to see if they leaked. They are very comfortable to walk in as well.

Crash tested

These boots are great. I highsided at 100km/hr and rolled over 60m down the road. Sky, road, sky, road etc. Broke my little toe, scaphoid and two fingers. Crash proof. Can ride all day or walk around in them no worries. Synthetic leather means you can spill all manner of drinks and crap on them and they still look like new (ish). I love them more than my Gaerns. Thumbs up.

Comfortable boot

Perfect boot for three seasons here in SC. I require a wider boot than a size D and these are close to an E width. They were comfortable right out of the box.

serious boots

I ride a Kawasaki Versys, adventure-tour style but really all on road. These boots are a lot of protection for the money. They are very stiff and the toe area is tall necessitating moving the shifter up, but that is an easy adjustment. I wear 12's in Rockport and Keene's and Danner's, 13's in Adidas and Nike. Went with the 12's. Toe is long but the toe box is somewhat narrow. I would have tried an 11.5 in a store, but kept the 12's. Figure on significant break in time to loosen them up a little, shifting feel is poor until broken in.

Comfy

Size fits true to your shoes. Not too narrow or too wide, length is spot on. Material is very soft and comfortable. No need to break it in. Sole is soft and supportive. Closing ratchet works well and keeps the boot in place. Comfortable to walk in it. One gripe is that it could be a little taller boot. When riding their tops are barely under the pants. For hot summers it is way too hot of a boot. For winters it is not well insulated and it is too short. It is a good spring, fall shoe.
