got this as a gift. as i stand 6'2" not many outerwear items fit me off the hanger. my arms are a little long and my midsection is most of my height so most jackets fit a little short in both areas. long and long of it is... this jacket fits. it's made well and will last quite a while i'm sure. i like the reflective piping and the fact that i can wear this jacket on a very warm day and the air just moves right through it... bravo tour-master!
I received the pants and tried them on. I ordered large, 34 to 36 waist? They fit over my legs and hips loose and the length was good. They felt a little baggie, which is what I wanted. But when I tried to button them the waist band was way too small. That's why I returned them. I feel that the pair of pants that you sent me were woman's.
Hubby has been wearing leather and textile jackets forever, and time has come for a mesh jacket, like mine.
He absolutely loves it. It fits perfectly, and matches perfectly the Tour Master lady's version I have been wearing for 4 years.
And that speaks well to the durability of the jackets because I wear mine all year round. (When the road grime builds up, I just machine wash it and it looks like new again.)
Hanging side by side, we can't tell mine (the old one) from his new one!
I have not been caught in any rain to date so, I can't say one way or another on effectiveness on the water proof membrane. At 55 mph or above they seem to flow enough air to keep my feet cool. So, far the one negative I have found was that the upper front part of the boot is some type of vinyl. I must have been standing close enough to my exhaust system that my blue jeans (were worn over the boots) had adhered to the shin guard of the boot. The vinyl had melted.
These boots are a great value! They are lightweight and will keep your feet dry. They are comfortable for walking when not on the bike, but the soles will wear out a bit quicker than other alternatives. I get about a season and a half from the soles before needing to replace the boots. I like them and are on my third pair!
