Avon AM-26

These tires do not like rain grooved roads like what you find on freeways & highways; they have a tendency to wander around quite a bit. They do well on smooth surfaces and asphalt highways though. It's a decent cheap tire but I will probably never purchased them again.

Good tire

Put it on my Victory Vegas and it holds the road good. Road through some wet roads the past few days and it still held good. Price was right so I'm happy.

I'm very pleased with the Avon tires. The bike proforms better with these tires. I'm not one to blaze around blind corners, But more than once I have had to come to a very fast stop and these tires did the job nicely.

Huge improvement

They were a huge improvement over the factory tires on my Suzuki TU 250X.

good tire for the price

Ninja 250. It feels good and has no vibrations like I had with the GT501's. They don't feel as stable as some higher dollar tires but they get the job done. Seems the rubber was designed to have a longer tread life than soft and sticky.

Avon Roadrunners

I've used Avons on my Harley exclusively since around 1992. They're competitively priced and unless you're very aggressive, you're more likely to dry-rot them than wear them out. Best damn cruiser tires out there, bar none.

Great Tire

I ran Harley Dunlops to begin with but with aggressive cornering I destroyed two 21" front tires in a row in less than a thousand miles each. Since I changed to this tire I can corner all I want and still get at least 10,000 miles out of a front tire.

Avon AM26..A!!.

Heard much good about these tires for some time and these so far are living up to what I've heard. Mounted on my 250 Ninja they allow me to extract my max from this little bike and feel secure doing it. Not as extreme as some guys go, but a bit taller and wider than stock with a nice design for general use or for the twisties. No real wet riding yet so the jury is still out on that as well as tread life. So far..GREAT.

Great for cruising, not cornering

I have a matching set front and rear on a '08 Ninja 250, and they're great tires and all, but they are NOT made for cornering. They have around 4-5k miles on them though and they literally look brand new. The dry traction is OKAY, not the best. The wet traction however is amazing, highways or even corners. If you're putting these on a cruiser they would be great, but if you plan to do knee-dragging corners like I do, go for Metzelers or if you're on a budget, Shinkos.

Great Tires

I have matching tires front and rear (this is my second rear tire). At fifty miles a day for five days a week, I got 14 months of wear on the last rear tire (I did run it into the cord...oops). These tires handle great, I have them on a Suzuki DR650SE, and I show them no mercy. From constant freeway speeds of 70+, to the canyons and mountains of Arizona. I have had these tires all the way over to the edge of the tread and they hold their line the way they are suppose to!
