Terrible - I should have gotten the Helmet Sunblocker instead

I was looking for the Helmet Sun blocker but you didn't offer it so I purchased this instead. And it was cheaper. Not only was it very difficult to put on correctly, but after two days, it came off while riding. I will be getting another Sun blocker. I sold my helmet and forgot to remove it.

Kind of a pain to apply

I marked the center of the strip and the center of the visor. I mounted flush with the top, contrary to instructions. Had to peel it off a couple of times to get it on evenly. I would have liked the strip to be darker than it it.

kind of a pain to get on right

I made sure there was a small mark on the visor and the tint strip to allow me to line up the center of the visor. When I mounted it at around the 1cm mark I thought it was too low, and annoyingly in my line of sight, so I mounted it flush with the top edge. Luckily it peels off ok.

    Fog City Tint

This Fog City Tint makes riding in the fall in northern Wis much safer. Later in the day the sun is low and there are lots of shadows. Constantly riding from sun to shadows makes it very hard to see. This product works well for me. It is not expensive, and I don't have to wear sunglasses. I can also move it between two helmets without a problem.

    Works great

It works great for cutting down glare when the sun is just above the horizon.

Great item at a good price. A simple but valuable addition to my riding experience. Saves me from stopping to switch helmets, visors, glasses.

    Works good

Dark enough to keep the sun from hurting my eyes but light enough to see when the light turns green.

    Simple and works/looks great

This Speed Tint does exactly what it advertises. I ride 100 miles one way twice a week for college, and I needed something that would keep the sun out of my eyes both in the morning and near sunset. I didn't want to spend $35 on a new tinted shield only to have to carry my clear one for riding at night, and this allowed me to stay with the clear shield for all conditions for only $11!! Get one you won't regret it. Of course I have to say how great is to deal with Motorcycle Superstore as well...they have it all prices, cheap crazy-fast shipping, and customer service.

    Definitely helps with glare

I bought one for my wife's Scorpion helmet. She said it helped a lot when the sun is getting low in the sky. Of course, 3 weeks after installing the Speed Tint, she bought a new helmet with a built in sun visor.

    Excellent product

I purchased the Fog City Speed Tint for my Arai Profile helmet. I installed it quickly and easily, and it works perfectly. I first used it on my trip to Colorado a couple of weeks ago. Since so much of that ride was East and West bound travel, I was concerned about staring into the sun in morning and afternoon riding. This provided the coverage I needed to block the direct sun most of the time just by tilting my head. It works as well as, if not better than, the sun visor on my Nolan N102 helmet that I like so well.

    Good product

Ordered this with an open faced helmet. Following the directions I applied it a little high on the visor. It acts like a sun visor in my car and keeps the sun from shining right into my eyes without obscuring the view entirely. Since I wear glasses which darken automatically it is positioned above the line of sight and works quite well.

    Fog City-Speed Tint

This is flat-out terrific. Riding west near sunset, especially up and down hills, a small tilt of the head cuts the sun's blinding glare AND you can see the road, even through the Speed Tint strip.

Fog City + Pinlock = No Blindness

I had a problem with the sun shining in the corners of my shield. I had a tinted pinlock but the space between the pinlock insert and the helmet was in the exact spot to let the morning and evening sun blind me. The Fog City Speed Tint solved the problem. I took an exact-o knife and trimmed it to follow the curve of the pinlock and now I have a fog free, glare free helmet.
