First trip of the year, strap that the plastic loop is permanently attached to ripped off during ride. Also the heat shields didn't work and now I have melted plastic all over my pipes. There are so many straps to tie down that it makes it almost impossible to get in and out of bags easily on stops. Extremely disappointing because I have had the tail bag for years and I was excited about the matching saddlebags.

A bit tricky getting these on a 1977 Goldwing as the blinkers are right where the bags would normally go. So I had to mount them 6 inches lower. I found I needed two more straps, Dowco sent them out same day. Excellent customer service. They have not gone on a road trip yet but feel very secure.

Value/features. Could blast competition w/1 add-on.

Versafit. YX600-18L tankbag-45L box, commute/tour. 2+ sets clothes/bag (pants-shirt-sox-skivs)+towel/shave. Moved signals to sides of lic. Great w/strap underseat & between box/rack. W/universal rack, no standoff need. Clear pipe/moving parts expanded. Pass. hardly knows bags on small moto. Wouldn't offroad, fine onroad. Won't hurt easily as hardbags in dirtroad offs. Dowco could do zips/cables/mesh ~PacSafe. I'd buy again. Best UJM commute set I found, $:features.

These fit my 2000 Suzuki Katana well, but the straps require regular tightening. They fit my rain jacket and both work shoes (or 1 riding boot) in one side, rain pants and my lunch/other boot on the other side, plus a spare visor and cloth. My soft boots fold. Haven't tried the rain covers, which seem hard to pull out/get back in. The zipper closest to the bike is harder to move. You must buy your own locks. A full face helmet will NOT fit. My EZPass fits in the top pocket.

These saddlebags are well worth every penny I spent on em'. It’s great to have so much extra space to carry gear and pretty much whatever else you can imagine. I'm a full time student and ride my Versys as much as possible with gas prices being so high and the saddlebags are the perfect size to carry my books and binders daily. The only problem is with mounting them on this particular bike. Since there isn't much frame or body behind the rear pegs the bags hang slightly past 90 degrees from vertical and they rest on the turn signals. Also, the reflectors below the rear seat get covered by the bags. I found a remedy for this though. I took off the reflectors and used the mount for the reflectors to make a part push the bags out to 90 degrees and off the signals. It would make more sense if I could include a picture. Otherwise, I love these bags and they are a stylish and extremely functional addition to my ride!

I really like the bags. Easy to install. Lots of different compartments. I was disappointed to see that one of the bags ripped on the side after only grazing it a bit. I would have expected them to be more durable.

Very well made overall, plenty of storage. The zippers can be troublesome if it's strapped too tightly to the bike. The color matching / change ability is a nice feature to match many different bikes. Honda red looks fine.

Extremely durable and shape-conforming bags are great with large displacement dual exhaust and adventure bikes. Extremely versatile bags compared to hard cases, can expand by dropping down a concealed zippered extension and have very useful external and internal zippered compartments, tie downs, and buckled straps. The strapping system (saddle bags and tail bags) is the safest I have ever used, because all other systems using bungee chords are unreliable due to external frame-attaching bungee chords not maintaining reliably fixed lengths you expect, which can cause bags to shift out of position. With these, no matter what you have inside, the straps will keep everything in one local spot, because all links are there to be in tension at any time, preventing a shift in weight. The all-around reflectivity makes you very visible with lights. These bags come with a rain cover concealed in a zippered compartment up front. The security is excellent, because each bag comes with a steel-braided line for connection to the bike's frame you can use with a small lock. The dual-strap velcro saddle attaches both bags under the seat to each other, giving you extra connectivity for safety and for security, when using as an under-the-seat lock in large bikes that have long lockable and removable seats (e.g. Kawi ZX-14, Suzi Hayabusa, KTM Adventure) just in case you don't use the braided lines. It is a must to use the Fastrax tail bag with these as a unit. The tail bag also has sturdy, fixed-length straps that link up with the saddle bags with snaps. Now you can carry cables, tools, and locks in the tail--the heavy stuff in the tail, not on your back because they can harm you in an impact like a steel mallet on your back; then you can carry clothes and groceries, etc in the saddle bags. Tail can grow upwards and saddle can grow downward. These bags with the tail bag are excellent in all performance aspects--are aerodynamic and each comes with a series of color bands that swip into side pockets with ornate windows to complement the make of your bike, e.g. green, orange, blue, red, white, pink, etc. on the sides of each bag. If you get this you must get the tail bag. You will appreciate this rugged, reliable system.
