It's a sprocket, and it works well. Buy it, gives me piece of mind and installed with new chain.

I purchased this sprocket along with a 16 tooth front sprocket and a 520 x-ring chain. This combination works good for me because I commute to and from work. I find that I have lost some of the torque at take off but very nice top end with less vibration and higher speeds at less RPM. I had the 16 tooth with a 43 tooth before and will probably go back to it instead after wearing out this chain and sprocket combo I just purchased.

Excellent product. Manufactured by the same company that provides the Kawasaki Versys OEM sprocket. Selected this steel sprocket because of its durability, and am very pleased. Changing from the stock 46T to 43T has made riding much less frenetic. RPM at 70 mph is now 5000 which seems much more comfortable. First gear is now much more useful as well. I can actually get through an intersection before having to shift!

I had an aluminum sunstar sprocket that was worn out. replaced it with a steel one with longevity in mind. the aluminum sprocket is considerably lighter, but I am not so concerned with weight. no problems with fit.

the xr600r has a lot of torque it's got to be tough to stand this bike even more so when it does'nt lose traction
