I bought this shifter to replace the linkage setup on my 03 Yamaha Raptor. It works great. Shift feel is a lot better and I don't miss shifts anymore because the linkage was sloppy. I'm really happy with the product.

Purchased for 2003 KLR650 so my size 12 boot could shift gears since I installed wider off-road pegs. Mounted a few notches higher and plenty of room for my boot. Only issue was it rubbed the engine side cover so I put on a Rubber Shift Sock by RyderClips so the side case would not get scratched.

I run a 07 KLR 650, and wear size 14 boots, this was 30 bucks well spent as the bike shifts easy, and shifts closer to the toes, not on the laces of my boots like the OEM issued piece.
Install took all of 2min, in fact I think it took longer to get it out of the blister packing than on the bike.

Put the IMS shift lever on my KLR 650 and it works perfect. I have size 11 feet so when I wear my riding boots I need extra clearance. I can now get my toes under the lever comfortably. The stock lever is of poor quality and too short. The IMS lever is a little flexible side to side which is a good thing if it takes a hit. Perfect upgrade for all those KLR`s out there.

The shifter fit perfectly on my 2000 XR 250 R. I liked the oversized hardware. Not really crazy about the finish. I used it in 4 difficult hare scrambles before I sold this bike and it held up flawlessly. I think it looks a little cheap next to my Sunline alloy shifter on my KX. Unfortunately, EMGO didn't make one for my XR.

I bought this to replace the stock shifter which was beginning to crack. This IMS shifter fits well on my 2005 KLR650. It installed easily and there is plenty of clearance around the engine, and it works great. A+++++

It's important that a lever be easy to bend, as when you bash it on a rock, it will get bent regardless, but if it's too hard, you won't be able to bend it back. Not much to say, it works as advertised.

New model KLR is known to have tight clearance between the shifter and footpeg. IMS shifter is about 1" longer than stock and it makes big difference if you are wearing large riding boots. Installation was easy, fit is fine, product quality looks same as stock (welded steel). Delivery was great: ordered on Saturday, received on Tuesday. Good job, MS!
