Excellent knobby for KTM 990

Best of both worlds or at least as close as you can get for a knobby on the street. Big bikes that play off-road need solid front end traction. The TKC delivers that wet or dry. On-road performance is great but knobs may distort after sustained heavy braking.

BMW 800GS - Much better off pavement than stock tires. Handles surprisingly well on pavement.

I thought with the amount of rubber on these tires that they would last. Though I have tried my best not to 'lay into it' on a ktm525, the back tire is showing serious wear on the front edges only after rides. The tires weren't cheap, I wonder if it would be best to buy the cheapest knobby and ride like you want to and just replace the tire. I dont think this tire is going to last any longer than a 606 or similar tire. I do like how they ride on payment.

I exclusively use TCK80s on my KLR650. They are the best 50/50 tire with the least compromise.

I take my VStrom DL650 out on the dirt way too much. I probably should just buy a dirt bike! However, with the TK80 I've been able to get places a big bike like the Strom has no business being. Works well on the street too. A bit noisy but the handling is good and the tire holds up well on the asphalt. About 2000 miles on a full set now and very little wear.

The TKC 80 just works. It's hard to beat a knobby that runs like a full street tire. I use it on the front of my BMW R1150 GS Adventure, which is a heavy bike. It tracks very well on the pavement and helps keep the bike planted on the dirt. I would recommend this tire to any adventure rider. I normally get 10,000 plus miles out of it. I use beads inside the tire to keep it balanced though out the life of the tire.

I put these on my Dakar 650 after slipping and sliding in mud on Tourances. I mostly do street, but wanted traction in mud and am very pleased. On the street I can ride it like a sportbike, and it holds great even when wet. I ran one for 9500 miles on the front,(and just installed another TKC80) but should have reversed it on the rim after 5k, as it started getting edgy on the leading edge. A bit pricey at 2x of a Metzler T63, but much quieter on the road with the big knob blocks.

Its a keeper

This is my 2nd...got 6 or 7K outa the first one and could have done more but wanted some fresh rubber for the 1500 mile Tour de WY and a little bit of CO on my KLR - lots of dirt, gravel and mud. This tire is a good balance in everything...its like a KLR...not perfect for anything, but it will do it all just fine.

Good (not great) in a lot of varied conditions. I like these on the front of my Adv. type bikes with something else bringing up the rear.

All good, but only 500 miles, so don't know about tread life yet.
