I bought my VStrom DL 650A with this tire on the bike. I got 17K miles out of it. Can't say why it did so well. The rear tire partner barely got 11K/ I rode mostly highway with it on but some gravel, dirt and sand and found it tracked and cornered very well. It tracked well even in hail.

It's too early to comment on wet traction and tread life so I rated those catagories a 3, but traction on asphalt is very good. I like to push my KLR650 pretty hard when the road gets twisty and I'm happy to report that they stick very well. These tires replaced Mefo Sport Explorers which I was very happy with however, I'm optimistic that the new Trailwings will be just as good.
I can't fairly rate wet traction because it rarely rains here is southern Arizona. My KLR650 cannot overpower these tires, they stick very well. However I haven't had the opportunity to give them a good workout in the desert and will reserve comment for later. So that said, I'm optimistic that these tires will be comparable to the Mefo Sport Explorers they replaced in both mileage and off-road (Desert) traction at a much cheaper price.

Dramatically increased street cornering ability and confidence on dr650. We all know there is not a perfect dual sport tire, but for my mostly asphalt riding, this tire is fine by me. Not horribly slippery on wet grass like street tires can be. Good for mild dirt riding. About 1000 miles now and very minimal wear. It is hard to rate tread life when I have not wore it out yet! Considering buying one again in the future.

This is the 2nd set on my DL 650, really like these tires and the price is right! Use ride-on tire sealant with no weights, smooth and lasts longer!

I really like these tires. They don't do well in mud and here in the PNW, that's pretty limiting. I may try something that works better for mud when these die. They came stock on my Yamaha XT250 and so far I have 1800 miles on them and they have plenty of tread left. I expect to get at least another 1000 miles out of them. Front much more than that.
