Build your own plugs using this and save a lot of money. For example a powerlet iphone cable is $40.00. Using this plug and a standard cigarette lighter plug iphone charging cable sourced for about 5 bucks you can make your own cable for 15 dollars. Same thing for mini-USB, chargers, heated gear or whatever other cables you want.

I used the plug to hook up my Garmin Zumo GPS. It did what it was supposed to do. I needed to use a little silicone to seal the connection, but otherwise was ultra easy to install.

Had no trouble wiring into my air compressor. Connectors are easy to access. Can't attest to durability as the product was recently received. It would be nice to see something a bit sturdier in the hand, given the rough service that this will be exposed to. All said, I won't hesitate to buy another for this kind of application.

This is not an adapter. Use this plug to connect accessories to the Powerlet outlet or BMW outlet. Note that you will have to cut and strip your accessory cord, disassemble the plug and connect the bare wire to the screws inside the plug, and reassemble the plug. I'd recommend purchasing an adapter from Powerlet for SAE connections and Gerbing for coax-style connections. FYI - the Firstgear heated gear uses the coax-style connection.
