    works fine

Its great to have an option with the Synergy gen. one heated gear. The original controllers have a habit of breaking. Using this allows you to use other inline controllers and continue to enjoy using the Synergy heated gear.

    Packs small

This balaclava is thin and works great under a full face helmet. It keeps the cold wind off my face and neck. It easily packs in one of my jacket pockets.

    Side buffeting

Riding my 690 there is no lift in the wind but the side buffeting is pretty noticeable. Definitely made for someone with slim cheeks. Pretty snug fit but not uncomfortable. Vented well enough off-road in the heat. For $100 you can't beat the quality for the price. Way happier with this helmet than my old AFX-39.

    Keeps me dry

It's economical and keeps me dry. The jacket drops low enough that water doesn't get on my back. Elastic straps to go under my boots keeps the pant legs down and my socks dry. The plastic zippers like to eat the material and may take several tries to zip or unzip. Helps block a lot of wind without water leaking through. I've used these 5 times already including one storm where the bottom of my jeans got damp and that was it. I bought XL, I'm 5'11" and 210lbs.

Long ride via twisty roads and freeway.

Gold shield makes helmet a head turner and it fits well with my Buell Ulysses adventure bike. Airflow is excellent. Helmet is big but it doesn't feel big on your head. At high speeds 75+ looking over your shoulder requires tilting your head down. Two issues: on long rides chin strap irritates my chin. Also, in strong gusty winds the helmet buffeting is very tiring.
