HJC IS-Max A Good Deal

It is nice to have a helmet that I do not need sun glasses for. Everything works and fits as expected. I would buy again. A minor thing that slightly bothered me is how easy the paint chips. I set (by this I mean gently placed) the helmet on pavement. When I picked it up the paint on the edges was chipped off. The paint on my IS-33 also scratches easy.

Pretty good

The fit is snug out of the box, but it'll break-in. Cool feature is the quick lock/release chin strap. Shield change is a pain in the wrench. Air flow is OK, the top vents are small and the vent on the chin bar is barely noticeable. Most of the air still kind of flows under the chin bar. Appearance is awesome. You absolutely have to get the smoke shield with it. One issue is when I glance down to check my instruments, the ridge at the bottom of the shield causes distortion. Need to lower my head.

axo freedom

I had the Axo previous model and it looks nicer with the metal tab. Nevertheless this is one cool looking boot with a truly innovative fitting system. Value for the boot is fantastic. Very high quality and craftsmanship. These boots fit large I'd say they are a half a size over so be careful.

FITS JUST RIGHT, LOVE THE PANTS

Pants are true to size, has 4 pockets and is well designed. You can comfortably carry a cell phone, keys, wallet and other junk without bulging pockets. Multiple waist adjustments and are not too baggy for OTB design. Lots of ventilation, and durability seems very good thus far. I have not found a better pair of pants for the money with the same features and quality of the fabric.

Excellent value

Fit is great and features are excellent. Especially useful is the built in sun visor. In many ways more convenient than sun glasses. In bright sunshine, flip it down, cloudy day or dusk approaching, flip it up. The clear shield is so clear, sometime I think I forgot to flip it down. I love the LED and was told it can be seen in bright sunshine. Overall fantastic value. Only complaint would be it is a bit noisy. Guess that's somewhat expected with a modular helmet with so many vents.
