They are far from waterproof. Water resistant is more accurate. After about 4 hours in the rain my underwear and socks were soaked. These have been my cold/bad weather pants for a couple of years and are good for cold weather (40ish) for short (less than an hour) trips. They are also good for rain for a couple hours, longer than that you better put on your rain gear. They fit long in the legs but that isn't a big problem while riding.
Waterproof for me!

I am just over 6' and 245 lbs. My wife gave these to me to go with my Patrol Jacket. She was concerned about reviews saying not waterproof. I took my Hayabusa out Christmas day instead, 34 degree rain for an hour. Kept me warm and dry. Lots of adjustments. Expensive but many features and adjustments.
Excellent riding pants!

At first the price seemed a little steep, but after having them for a season these pants have proven to be well worth the cost. The magnetic closure system is great and helps to make them very quick to put on and take off. They are very comfortable and I wear them every time I ride.

These pants leak in the crotch area. Would be great pants except for that small detail!

These are comfortable over-pants, ideal for the quick trip to work on cold mornings. Fit is a little short (I'm 6'2"), but elastic straps on pant bottom help. Would love Icon to sell snap-on "extensions". Also, side flap that covers zipper is a little overdone. Would have loved gray instead of black, but oh well.

I did not buy these pants initially because of the low reviews concerning waterproofing, but finally got to it after trying 3 other brands. I should have bought them from the beginning. I believe these are excellently waterproofed, and I can’t see why some were disappointed. I had them in a decent rain and stayed perfectly dry for a 45min ride. Suspenders are very nice too. I also have the Patrol jacket and the Icon Reign Waterproof Boots, the combination is great.
Not waterproof.

The pants are not waterproof. Just like the jacket, after 30min of riding, the water starts to come in around the crotch area.

So I had these pants for a little over a week now. It did not rain during that time but this morning we finally got the Seattle weather back to normal for the coming winter (rain)...
I drive 17miles to work mostly on highway...
Really disapointing as my $30 overpants I had before was more waterproof than this $250 overpants... I was wearing the pants with the suspenders and my Alpinestar waterproof jacket.
I would recommend it as a warm overpants that has protection in it but that's it!

I was very disappointed about the lack of waterproof of this overpants. Initially, I loved it but when I got in the downpour, it didn't hold its promise. So I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to ANYONE!
It's just a normal textile overpants. It's not a waterproof protection like I need it to be since I do ride even in an extreme wet-weathers in Spring/Fall season.
