The chin windstopper doesn't work even when moving the inside levers. It needs to be a click design, Arai. You WILL need a Pin Loc face shield if you ride in cool or foul weather; the shield's surface area shape makes your breath go right up it, giving instant and total fog up. Close the eyebrow vents in the rain or water will drain into the helmet down the shield. All light, like headlights, gets diffused with water on the inside and outside of the shield.

Like the new design. Perfect ventilation and adjustability. Visor does catch a little air when turning head while riding on my F800GS on the road and on two track rides. Provided a comfortable and safe feeling while riding on a 500 mile day.

I really like the helmet but I am a little disappointed with the fogging that occurred when I was in a down pour at night. The shield fogged up so bad I almost had to pull over when on coming vehicles went by. A solution was to lift the shield up part way to keep it from fogging.

Helmet has more features than comparable models such as vent adjustments inside and out, and chin spoiler. Cheeks are a little snug, but it’s new. Visor does vibrate a little @ 60+ mph but can be dampened with head tilt. About the best helmet for riding with glasses on in cold weather (30-40 deg) to prevent fogging on eyeglasses. Super airflow with all vents open.

OK, so I have been a dedicated Shoei guy but was convinced to try this after so many great reviews and the fact that the Hornet has been around quite a while without a redesign. This is the first helmet ever that I can ride with the shield closed, even in 100* heat. I love everything about this helmet. Fits better than any helmet I've ever had thanks to the adjustable padding.

It is very nice helmet, fits will, I drive in Egypt @ 40+c it flows air very nice.
My only problem is it is drag in wind 120+ km.

Excellent helmet, very comfortable. Great visibility, sun visor does a nice job as well the ventilation. It is definitely top of the line helmet, and as always MC Superstore has fast shipping.

Finally, after waiting for Arai NA to deliver the goods since February, I tracked down a 2XL XD-4 at a local shop. I had to pay an extra $110 over the MC Superstore price. I wish I could've gotten it here. There's no problem with head snap at speeds up to 70 mph. Eyebrow and mouth vent flow is perfect. The air flow over and through the helmet is excellent. The back vent levers are difficult to change with gloves on. One caution: The visor will obscure view of overhead traffic lights.

Excellent helmet, spend the extra money for your only head!!! Visor does not cause problems, but I don't go over 70mph. Good airflow although it seems like I still need more, of course it's Texas.

Hi, I've been riding motorcycle since 1974 and I never had a helmet like this one and by far it is the most perfect fit for me. I had in the past many other brand names and changed them often costing me a lot of money. I am sure this one will be on my head for a long riding time. Driving with this Arai XD4 is a real pleasure... no sun in the helmet to overheat, large view angle, not too heavy, good ventilation, easy to wash inside parts also a nice look.
