Perhaps this will help getting the fit right. I am 5'7''and weigh 165. I ordered the medium and am glad that I did. It does fit snug, but not tight. It feels as if it will stay put in the event of a crash. The large would have been too long in the sleeves, and would have shifted around with body movement. Feels substantial, but not too heavy once you put it on. I hesitated to spend this much cash, but now feel that it was worth it. Would do it again!
Used chart for sizing. Figured best choice from chest and arm measurements. Icon usually runs smaller so knowing that didn't think twice about size before ordering. Jacket fit snug and has more air flow than I thought it would. Not to impressed with the thumb loops on the sleeves. I do like the pocket sizes that were large enough to carry what I needed. Jacket seems to be very durable.
Great looking boots, but...Not only do these boots run small, they run teeny tiny everywhere. I am a true 8. The boots are very narrow, very tight. It was a struggle to put them on, thinking once my foot was in place, it would be all good. Not so. Even with the thinest sock, it'a a no go. The top of the zipper left a large dent in my leg, and I have small ankles/calves. Not sure who Icon designed these to fit. They have been returned.
Good gloves, shipping was delayed(but i dont mind)
Keep in mind they are SUMMER gloves, comfy, and durable but have ventilation in them(that means if you wear them in spring or fall, your hands WILL freeze, otherwise good for summer riding, when its warm and you need some air in your hands)
I ordered the largest size offered. I've been riding to work on the cold mornings for several weeks using these to break them in and see if they'll stretch out a little more with wear. I ordered the XL, but wished they'd offered a XXL. I will continue to wear them as much as possible to see if the fit improves. Any ride longer then 1/2 hour , now, would put a pinch on the ends of my fingers. I think they would definitely help in the rain.
