I ride through thru the winter as long as temp is above 20F. Never had a problem of hands getting cold @ 65 mph. I've tried fingered gloves and after 17 miles numbness sets in. Haven't used snowmobiling yet. I've used my older pair working outside and even though they are worn, my hands are toasty and dry. Ordering my third pair today.
Recently bought this item from Motorcycle Superstore. It was shipped fast and packaged beyond expectations (there was enough bubble wrap for ten shields lol). Overall it seems to meet my expectations for quality, it does say "made in Korea" so you know it's not top of the line but for the price I think it's worth it. The silver looks cool as it mirrors well and makes it easier to see in daylight. You can see your eyes reflecting back at you but it doesn't really bother me much. I bought mine for the HJC CL MAX 2 helmet that I use for ski-dooing and a clear shield on a sunny day reflecting off snow just doesn't cut it. I'm not sure about the concerns that it scratches easily but so far so good. I would recommend for the price.
Looks good and is very practical. I bought the Silver one and it is very visible at night. I live on Oahu in Hawaii and a half helmet is perfect for our climate. The visor is a nice feature but I don't care too much for the chin strap as the portions that go over the ear is enclosed where as I'm used to an "open ear" type of strap.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this helmet.
