Pros: 8,000-10,000 miles easy, Durable for light off road use, Deep Tread Pattern
Cons: Lack of traction in wet conditions can be hazardous, Takes 10+ miles to warm up.
This is a good tire for touring and commuting. But if riding the likes of the The Dragon go w/a softer compound tire.
This is a dual sport tire for those riders who mainly ride off road and occasionally ride on the street in-between trails. Don't buy this for daily driver on pavement surfaces. It works fine on pavement but with excessive use you'll wear it out quickly. Works great in mud, rocks and dirt. All that at a great price.
I bought a set of these for My DRZ400E and took them out for the fist time this weekend. I did an 80 mile ride consisting of mostly single track full of rocks, mud, water crossings, and some sandy roads as well as a little pavement too. All I can say is these tires did everything better than any tire I have used before. With 10psi. the bike was unstoppable. Amazing grip on everything. Even the brief amount of pavement it performed well on. This will be my new go to tire from now on. For where I ride and how I ride it is perfect.
I have been running this tire for years and am extremely satisfied. I consistently get between 15,000 and 17,000 miles on my Harley Road King and 20,000 miles on my wife's V-Star 650 Classic. I run them at the pressures recommended by the bike manufacturers and couldn't be happier. I just wish they made them with the wide white wall, too.
