Sidi Crossfire 2 SR Boots

This is my first review ever on anything haha I asked all my friends who ride and they said that Sidi would be the most comfortable.boots but they are a bit pricey. Fo me, comfort is everything. The less I have to think about and the more comfortable I feel the faster and better I ride. They are also very easy to walk in. I liked these so much that I bought 2x more pairs for my buddies that I ride with(childhood friends). Don't look at anything else. These are the ones you want. 2016 KTM 350 XCF-W 6 Days 203 KTM 350 XC-F

I really don't like them...

No fault of MCSS, I ordered a size 11, just like my hiking boots, which, if anything are 1/2 size too big. The Sidis were painfully tight, as in at least a full shoe size too small. And very very stiff. I clomped around the house with them on hoping to get used to them without getting them dirty and finally had to take them off and send them back. Honestly I don't think I could operate the motorcycle with them on. Besides that I need to be able to get off and walk around ocassionally and these are not designed for walking at all. After sending them back I am re-thinking the whole style of boot I really need. I wanted them because of the heavy armor...

Long-term Review Follow-up

You can see my other review of these socks, looks like from back in May of 2010 - wow how time flies! Wife and I originally bought 4 pairs (back then $16) each of these socks for a 2-up trip across 16 states in 16 days (Cali and back) in 2010. These come in short and long, so wife got short, and I got the long, to match our size (and be able to tell them apart). In 2011, wife learned to ride, took over the 1150RT (bumping me to a 1200GT), and we have been riding 10-15K miles a year since then - with these same socks! Just last year (2015), after riding through the New England States to Bar Harbor Maine, the stitching at the elastic was starting to come apart on some of them. Also over the years it became difficult to tell the two sizes apart, so we disposed of the bad ones and consolidated them down to 5 pairs (of the original 8) that are still good. I should also mention pretty wife has always worn her socks folded down over her boots - which really stretches and wears on the elastic and stitching. Asking her why just now, she says she hasn't done that since she got her new TCX boots, but the old Sidi boots she had made the sock/boot combo "cut into my calves". My point is that holding up to that kind of wear for that many years/miles/washings is extraordinary. The only other piece of gear that has lasted as long are the 3 pairs (each) of LD Comfort base layer 'tights' we purchased at the same time - and are still in perfectly usable condition. Funny thing is how many bikes we've had since then; 1997 Honda Rebel (trainer bike bought & sold), 2004 BMW R1150RT (traded), 2006 BMW K1200GT (bought & traded), 2003 R1150R (bought & sold), 2009 R1200RT (bought & sold), 2007 K1200GT (current), 2012 R1200GS (current), 2013 R1200R (wife's) - all these bikes... same socks! If someone has owned and used these socks as we have and knows of better, I'd love to hear from you! Because I am looking for some new socks (to replace the worn-out Sidi Tech Road's described above), and I see they've raised the price of these from $16 to $24, which opens-up other possibilities in the value decision.

True to size

After my last lowside I'm a huge Sidi fan, they protected my feet 100% and are still my go-to street shoe. These fit true to size and the fit/finish is fantastic at this price point. Highly recommended!

SIDI Astro Boots

I did not like the boots. They were stiff. In addition, I thought the closures were not practical for my use. So, I returned the boots.

Love these!!!!

I've had them for about 3 months, I'm a newer rider on a Ducati Monster 696. These are the first and only riding boots I've owned and can't imagine riding in anything else. I chose these after reading a bunch of reviews on blogs from real lady riders and a friend who also rode a Ducati had a pair and loved them. I bought the black and red - I hate all the cliche pink details. They fit great; I'm a US 7 and the Euro 38/US 6.5 are perfect, even room for a thicker sock. The adjustability (like a ski boot) enables you to fit leathers inside comfortably, or skinny jeans. I feel safe and know my feet, ankles and shins are well protected. They're comfortable enough for walking around in too (but squeak a bit). I didn't really feel like they needed a break-in period and it will be interesting to see how they fit & feel over time. My only wish is they had a little better traction - but I know they're intended to be a track boot. They're also cool looking boots, I get complimented on them almost every time I wear them. I'd say absolutely worth the investment.
