Alpine Ridge Boots ++

50 miles combine highway gravel road and city riding and zero issues with the ridge boots, good feel of the shift lever, nice double Velcro fastening system, better support while stopped. Will repost after riding in weather. Delivered inside 72 hours!

Socks

Appear to be very good. We were out ice riding this weekend, 22 degrees and my feet were warm. Have not washed them yet so not sure about how they hold up to washing. Warm feet was my most important concern.

New and improved

I have an Alpine Stars jacket that is 9 years old. It has served me well. This jacket is great because someone listened to suggestions. The liner zipper is red and the outside pocket zipper is in red also so they are easy to find. This jacket has chest protection which my old one did not. More Alpine Stars name tags which I like on the jacket. I wish they would have left the zipper on the sleeves instead of the snaps. I highly recommend this jacket for an all weather jacket because of the Drystar feature and the zip out liner.

Runs small

I am 5'10, 170 and have normal size hands for a guy my size. I find some snowboarding gloves in mens large to be slightly tight so I often go for XL and have plenty of room. I went for men's XL here to be on the safe side and they were extremely tight. I also got a pair for my wife who is 5'8 155. I got her women's XL again to be safe. They also were too small. She tried my men's XL and those fit so she is keeping mine and I am returning hers. Since the style and quality seem great I am now going for men's 2XL. Very odd for an average size guy.
