The jaws on this clamp are terrific. Makes mounting to unknown surfaces a breeze. Inside the clamp is a serrated groove for tightening the clamp ever further around poles (like zip ties with thicker pitch).
I have popped the goose neck apart a few times and it always goes back together easily. the goose neck has the same mounting bases as the other mounts, so you can put the goose neck on other mounts, or use the clamp without the goose neck.
This is my favorite mount to date from GoPro.
You can peel and re-use these, but c'mon, why? These are pretty inexpensive when you consider how much time you lose and the added risk of your camera falling. I always have an extra of each type with me in case some angle piques my interest while out riding.
Always try and save money, but dont run out of the cheap stuff!
The suction is really strong! I think its awesome for sticking to glass, but the size of the cup is so large, its not too often I can find a place flat enough to mount it.
Its not a good first mount, but if you have the application, its a great product.
Really cool product, just expensive to own multiple
This mount is really cool for setting up shots on location. It bends all kinds of ways, and doesn't tip over with camera weight in practical use. It stores really easy, and has a latch to stop you from smashing your fingers* (kinda annoying). The arm is made out of some reinforced plastic, which is my only gripe at this price. I like the one I have, and would replace it, but not ready to buy 2-3.
The tool is a dumb name, but it works great to get the leverage on tightening your thumb screws. I don't worry about my gopro slipping down and filming just my helmet graphics anymore, cause the tool locks that thing down super tight with ease. Having the lever to tighten is so much better than even using a screwdriver, and it packs in my bag a lot easier (and TSA agrees).
