Whether on the street, track or dirt, Bell helmets is synonymous with safety, quality and design. Bell's philosophy is simple - safety for the rider first, and aesthetics second. We think you'll agree - these sturdy Bell helmets will keep you safe, and looking good.
This helmet is REALLY nice! It has great ventilation. (Especially the vents just above the visor.) Really nice for warmer weather riding. The comments about the helmet appearing a bit "big" are accurate, but it is not so big that it is a problem. Great padding and comfort. I have a hat size 7.5 and the XL fits perfectly!!
Really happy with my purchase...Bell quality, Snell and DOT rated and less than $100!!!
Nice light weight helmet ! Took it out for a try and could NOT believe the wind noise ! So I stopped and made sure I closed the vents. Still no different. Thing is ....my 12 year old Shoei RF900 has less noise !! I'll still keep it for around town, but I think I'm glad I kept my Shoei !!
I love Bell helmets. The Bell Riot helmet is exactly what I wanted. I measured my head, used the chart, tried on several other helmets, and ordered. Trying the new helmet before riding, it fit perfectly. It was snug yet comfortable. Riding was a different story. It slipped forward covering my eyebrows resting on top of my glasses. I would push it up but the improvement would only last for a moment. If only my head was shaped like Humpty Dumpty.
It's a good quality build and the weight is fine but go a size up b/c they fit tight. My prev. lid was XL but this was too tight. I contacted Bell & told them it was good on sides but not front-back. Their rep recommended keeping the cheek pads but getting an XXL top liner for $15 & now it's perfect!
The paint/graphics are great but it is noticably louder than my old Scorpion helmet. It's not that bad while looking straight forward but when turned it sounds like a vortex swirling around my head. I've gotten used to it but I wear earplugs when travelling at higher speeds for any period of time.
This helmet LOOKS BETTER out of the box than any picture can reveal! It is one AWESOME looking helmet! Airflow is GREAT, but when everything is closed off it is NOISY. The earphone holders inside will diminish any wind sound if you ride listening to your own music. I'd rather be listening to traffic myself for safety sake. The only other thing that I can say it is the TIGHTEST fitting helmet I have ever used! I even did what others recommended and ordered a size larger. I have a Harley helmet that has an opening windscreen and a face-up feature which opens so you can remove the helmet easily and let me tell you, I miss that feature. However, the look of this helmet far outweighs ease of use in my book. I am retired USAF and I really love the historic aspect of the Flying Tigers paint job! The only thing missing is the roar of the P-40 Warhawk engine!!
The cheek pads are great, you can custom fit your helmet by exchanging the standard size for a plus up or down. It may not sound like much but it will make time in the saddle more enjoyable! Highly recommended optional accessory!
