Best helmet

Bell makes the best helmets. My kids and husband bought one for me for my birthday and my husband was complaining why he didn't get one. So I bought this for him. He loves it just as I do. The cheek pads are magnetic and the head liner snaps in. The snaps are red for easy installation.

Great Helmet!

I own a few helmets, and this is one of my favorites! The helmet is very light and causes very little turbulence at speed. I also really like the visor locking system, makes it easy to lock the visor closed or have it cracked for extra air flow. I typically wear a medium helmet which is what I ordered, the fit is pretty snug in the cheek-pads but I think once they break in, it will fit perfect.

Love photochromic visor, but helmet is very noisy.

Have ridden about 2500 miles with helmet. Love the photochromic visor--very effective at shielding my eyes from glare. Helmet has very good venting. Fit and finish are good. The visor detent mechanisms work well to keep visor cracked open to what ever position it is raised. Unfortunately, this helmet is also VERY loud! Far louder than the Shoei RF1000 it replaces. Even with -27 dBM ear plugs, the wind noise is significant at highway speeds. Anti-fog claims are also exaggerated. The visor fogs very easily in humid/rainy conditions. Helmet visor does a good job sealing out rain--have ridden about 250 miles in moderate rain with this helmet. Also, the upper cheek pads pinch the face and make it difficult to wear glasses. I have wire frame glasses and it is hard to get the temple pieces past the cheek pads. Overall, I can live with the noise and get anti-fog wipes to prevent visor from fogging. The best feature of this helmet is the Transitions visor.

Finally

At last a company that designed their own mold for helmet fit. Firstly, It is extremely hard for me to find a helmet that fits without looking goofy. This Pitt Boss solves my issues with helmet fit. You can even fine tune the fit with the wheel adjuster at the back of the helmet. Very stable feel riding the freeway. I could go on and on about every little thing that makes this helmet not your average helmet. But I think I just did. Love everything about the Pitt Boss helmet by Bell.
