These pipes were installed by the dealer before I bought the bike (2006 Honda Shadow VLX 600 Deluxe) as it was bought on trade with only straight headers. I couldn't be happier with the sound. I was originally told that they were V&H, and I believed it until I did more research. Gonna try taking the baffles out tomorrow and see how it sounds that way. The beauty of that is that I can put them right back in if I don't completely love it. Cobra from here on, for me. They look and sound great.
If you can't figure out how to install these, you shouldn't be riding a motorcycle. The only complaint I have, is the drop on brackets should be lower to the center of the tire. My throw over bags lean in closer to the chain and rear brake linkage than I would prefer, but with some extra cordage(zipties), they work just fine.
Fit and Function works very well. Like one of the descriptions read, supplied bolts were not going in. After a few choice words, I decided to take a break and look things over. Seems they tapped the threads before they chromed and power coated. Save yourself some time and run a tap threw the threads to clean them out. After that was done went together in about 10 minutes. Girl friend says the pad sits just below her shoulder blades. and is very comfortable. i got the tallest one.
