Wish I could say these were totally awesome and a snap to install, but, the bolt holes were not correct. Got them to fit right after I repaired one hole by buying $47 in bolts and a heli-coil tool and had to use a tie-down to squeeze the case guard smaller so the holes were in the correct locations. The button head bolts' sockets stripped out due to softness. Get hex heads!
well what can i say omfg the sound they make in comparison to stock pipes . for all the blokes out there that watched home improvement with time Taylor . i now have his lough you know the one where he has just put a v8 in the lawn mower lmao . .... Fitting if have a little bit of know how fit them your self its not that hard just take your time don't rush it..... the finish on the pipes spotless first class. i will be recommending cobra pipes to all my bike mates here in Australia
I just had this installed on my 2006 Electra Glide, today. Bike actually ran good before I had this installed, just wanted to increase performance and fuel/air ratio and gas mileage. Now, it runs like crap. I was worried I was even going to make it home without calling for a tow truck! Popping, sluggish response, hesitation, missing. This is B.S.! If it doesn't "Auto Tune in the next 96 hours, it's coming out and someone is refunding my money. I'll go back to where it was with just Screaming Eagle tuner. Had NO problems with S.E., tuner!
Combined this with the FP3 and some side shots and my little XL1200C is a completely different bike. It's a little lower profile than the stock cleaner which is nice when using the highway pegs.
Knocked the quality and installation just a bit because two of the three hex bolts mounting to the intake stripped. Nothing that an oversized torx wrench couldn't fix but a little disappointing considering it required a trip to the hardware store to get [better] replacements.
