The relocate kit bolted on easily but did not move the cobra light bar far enough forward to clear the windshield. When I questioned the Cobra people, I was told this kit isn't for the VTX 1300R, after all.
Shipping was excellent, they arrived the day after I placed my order. I read some reviews and it appeared some folks had a little difficulty with installation so the first thing I did was inventory the parts in the box. Then I read the installation instructions. Then I laid out my tools I thought I would need. I started installing them and 45 minutes later I was putting my tools away and admiring the way they looked mounted on my ride. I might add that I didn't have any help as some folks complained they needed another hand. Very simple project with great looking results.
I'll be honest, I always wanted the V&H OS 450s; to me they've always had "THAT" HD sound. Unfortunately, that sound comes at a price that my budget just could never justify. I'd heard that Cobra makes a good pipe but I couldn't find anyone who was actually running them so I could hear them live. Also, these slip-ons are pretty new so I couldn't even find any sound comparison videos anyplace.
They looked awesome in the pictures and the price I found couldn't be beat, so I finally decided to just bite the bullet and buy a set. I can't say enough about these things. They have a great bark when you go to the whip, but they smooth out beautifully at speed so you can still hear your passenger and/or the tunes.
Do they sound as good as the V&H? No, the OS 450s still sound better (IMHO); BUT NOT $250 BETTER! Throw in their lifetime warranty and I recommend these pipes without hesitation or reservation.
