Sidi Vertigo Boots

Coming from one of the most respected names in the motorcycle business, the Vertigo is Sidi’s response to the need for a serious street riding boot. Designed to be the best, no matter the cost, the Vertigo delivers the legendary quality, fit and comfort that Sidi is known for.

Features:

Shock Absorbing Heel Cup: The three stage, shock absorbing heel cup is molded in three different densities of plastic and is one element that sets the Vertigo apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection.

Lining: Each Vertigo boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally, the inner ankle area of all Vertigo boots are fully lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Tecno VR System: The Vertigo boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob, the internal monofilament line precisely closes and wraps the boot around your calf with micro adjustments that deliver a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided.

Replaceable Shin Deflector and Scuff Pad: The Vertigo offers interchangeability with its front shin guard and toe scuff pads. Choose from carbon or nylon shin piece, and either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff.

Air Vent System: The Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders' needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones.

Composite Inner Sole: The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use. It is also water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt-on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or been damaged.

Lorica: Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Sidi boots

Ordered size 11, I usually wear 10.5. So tight even with very thin boot liner socks hurt my feet with them up in an easy chair. Standing was painfull. Loved the features of the boot, just way to narrow and not enough room for my arch. Probably great for those with narrow feet and flat arches... Sent them back, took two weeks to get refund after they received them, which I thought was pretty slow. Then ordered alpine stars, same problem with sizing. Ended up getting tcx rs2 air, they fit perfect, very comfortable.

These replaced my Vertebra boots (which have >53K miles on them). If these last as long, I'll be ecstatic. Fit is a little large, since I had to get size 12 (I wear 11-1/2, which is not offered). Finish is excellent, and they are breaking in well (my old boots were like a 2nd skin; it will be awhile before these get there). A bit stiff while walking; riding, they're very comfy - still need to get more flexible for shifts. No inner-ankle armor or velcro over the zipper on these.

Great Boots

Fit true to size. On a sport bike they are extremely comfortable right out of the box. They do require some break in for walking. Vent doesnt feel like one cool spot on the side of your foot rather it almost inflates the boot thus allowing your feet to breath better.

Thin Soles Wore Out A Bit Soon

I bought the Vertigos in 2011. Wore them for two riding seasons. The sole of the left boot is almost worn smooth in the ball of the foot area. The tread was not deep to begin with. So, I won't get that much use out of a $300 boot. Also, though they fit well in length, they are just a bit narrow for my feet--though that's not a big deal if you're not walking in them. I do like the protection they offer and they have held up well otherwise.

good

Good price and are excellent. I am 10 and a half and leave me a little tight but with time they are accommodating to my foot, I wanted red but only in black, they are excellent and are very good for cold weather or tropical as Costa Rica. They have a very comfortable ventilation window.

Great Boot

I would recommend this boot for anyone. They were comfortable right out of the box, a little pressure point on the toes, no noticeable binding within normal range of motion. Great feel on the foot-pegs. This is a boot you can put on and forget you are wearing them, which is amazing considering the level of protection they offer.

Great Boots!

I can't imagine getting a better boot. Fit and finish was excellent. I wear a size 10 shoe and the size 10 Sidi boot fit a little tight since I have a high arch. I oiled the leather parts and wore the boots all day with 3 pairs of socks and now they fit perfect. Invest in a pair of over the calf socks for utopia... I wont buy any other boot than Sidi!

Great boots for casual and track riding

These boots are very comfortable. I was worried with my wider than average feet that these Italian-made boots would be narrow. However they weren't, and they fit great. They are comfortable and very grippe. The side vents, when opened, do actually provide a noticeable air flow through the side of the boot. Highly recommended to anyone looking to protect their feet.

Sidi Vertigo boots

Awesome boots! Both me and my wife bought some of these. we have large calves but the boot closure system fits loose enough to wear pants inside the boots. Great protection and feel. Wore them on long weekend trip and still being broke in. The fit is true to size. A little stiff when walking around. The soles are durable. I would buy these again!

Boot Review

This is a great boot as far as fit, finish, durability, and features. The only problem that I have right now is that it is hard for me to flex the boot to get my left toe under the shifter to shift gears. Maybe because the boot is still new and stiff. On the other hand, I am limited to the adjustment on my shifting rod due to the Power Commander Quick Shifting Mod that I have.Just my 2cents.

Sidi Boots

I purchased these boots 8 years ago and put 50,000 miles on them!!! The sole on the left boot is getting a little thin but the boots are as solid as the day I bought them! I will by another pair!!!

Wont Ride in Anything Else

I really won't ride in any other shoe. Very comfortable on the bike, low profile toe for easy fit under the gear shift. I ride a 2008 R6. Completely protects if bike falls on your foot. Air vents make a big difference when open. I always tuck my jeans in because they fit better. Expensive, but you can't put a price on protection. Prevents foot from slipping on wet.

Very pleased

After riding in military boots for years, which give no protection, I finally made the jump to the proper riding boot. I just received my Sidi Vertigo and WOW! I'm very impressed! After reading the reviews and talking with the local mc shop, i'm glad I made the SIDI choice. The boots fit very well and the size is right on.

Great Boots

I love these boots. I wear a 14 and ordered a 14. They were just slightly large around the main body of the foot but a pair of gel inserts made them fit perfect in that area. I wish the top of the boot was made a bit smaller also. I never have to have the adjustment for the calf anywhere but all the way closed, even with the pant legs of a pair of draggin jeans inside the boot. Kind of makes the adjustable calf a feature that I will never have to use.

be careful if you are thin

I've had multiple pairs of sidi cycling shoes and love them. These boots however don't work for me. The unique closure system is for medium to large calves only. I'm 5'11" and 160. Even with my leathers inside the boot they are too loose to provide protection in a twisting fall. My legs/ankles would just twist inside the boot. Otherwise the boot is very well-made, light, with good peg feel. Easy to walk in too. I recommend against buying this boot if you are on the thin side legwise.
