Large is not large

If you want a very close fitting jacket then order your regular size. I am 6'0 and weigh 205 lbs and the large is very tight on me. I plan to swap it for the XL as I ride a cruiser and don't want the tight fit. Overall the construction of the jacket is very good. Tested it at night with only a t-shirt and could not notice any cool air penetrating the mesh only outer shell.

Olympia Renegade Jacket

This is a great summer jacket. It has good airflow but the material is substantial so the soft armor stays in place. Sizing may be a bit on the generous side, though I am 5'10' 170 lbs. and a medium fits very well. Quality is good so far and styling is very nice. Most jackets have the sleeve take ups, but the body take ups are a great addition. The neck is nice and soft and the extra flap that snaps at the waist over the zipper protects the tank from scratches.

So far it's a great jacket

It's not as warm as I was expecting with the liner installed. My chest gets cold when riding in the lower 50s and below. Another layer of clothing is needed. But the fit is great and the visibility is outstanding, which was one of my main criteria. I haven't ridden in the rain, yet, but based on others' reviews, I expect it to perform well. I like the velcro straps that adjust the arms tightness and keep the armor at the elbows.

Mostly good, but...

Overall pretty good but has some issues. The neck is very tall and bulky, while providing protection, it makes rotating the head difficult. The "jacket" liner was a bad idea, the collar does not stay up making the neck issue worse, and it catches on my watch. The jacket is long and tends to ride up, this pushes the smallish arm holes into the under arms. I had to get the neck Velcro fixed due to bad stitching and placement. Knowing all this, and having tried the competitors, I would still buy it.

Very surprised

I had never used a mesh jacket before but it worked great. I rode two days in Kansas at 100 plus and was very comfortable wearing a racing jersey under it. I never got hot!! On cool mornings I used the rain liner under the jacket and it cut the air going through the mesh. I never tried the thermo liner. The mesh is great for summer but I have a different rain proof shell jacket with vents for fall. Well worth the $.

sometimes you get what you pay for

In cold weather this jacket works real well great adjustable fit. The real test will come next summer when the temps get near 100F and I will test the very innovative venting system.
