Feels good

I've only been riding on it for about 300 miles, mostly commuting on the freeway. Rode it while it was pouring rain and dry. Feels good. Once I break it in a little more, I'll push it and see what happens.

Second Raven - Rear

High quality product with very good traction wet/dry, got some very good mileage on the rear with normal straight-line commuting, very happy with Shinko as a top-brand for every kind/type of riding. I looked at the Pirellis for the "WOW" factor but can't justify switching from Shinko since their products do everything for my bike, and my riding confidence. Quality product/excellent advertising from MSS/quick delivery and my commute tomorrow will be filled with confidence - I can't wait!

Great Tires for the Money

I bought a set of these tires and have had great results. I use them on a HD XR1200x and got about 8000 mi. before the back tire gave out. Front still has some tread but close to done. Ride mostly in the Smoky Mts. so not a lot of straight line riding. Am more than satisfied. Will buy again.

This IS a budget tire... so...

Unlike some of the other bike heroes who review tires I am not a street racing god who shreds up the tarmac every time I go out... I have no idea where they ride so hard without being caught or killed but I wish I could go there... that said I do ride pretty fast but I have been trained how and I would say 'smooth' riding is my forte - so take from that what you will. I ride like a real person who likes to use his bike to HIS full potential, not the bikes. I ride 1000+ sporty bikes such as Blackbirds, etc. My last bike was a Fazer 1000 and my current is a Tiger 1050. So lots of torque and drive but not heavy touring behemoths but neither are they super light. So I thought I'd give these a try as they are cheap and after all it's just rubber isn't it? Well no, turns out it's not. I usually get over 8,000 miles out of a rear and up to 10,000 on a front (SMOOTH riding remember, I wheelie often but not out of EVERY turn or stoppie at every light) so I was disappointed to only get 3,500 and 3,800 out of two attempts with this brand - the front lasted for both sets of rears. For 'normal' every day riding these tires work just fine, honestly you'd never know the difference but on more spirited corners they start to show their weakness... Traction is adequate but slips a little in the wet which can be fun but unnerving at first. So bearing in mind these are about 2/3's the cost of a competitor but last half as long... are they REALLY an economical tire?
