You need a saw to trim stock nut bolts a little bit. Installation is hard. If you have tools in hand then only try to install this item or else get help from professionals. I used them for VTX 1800, apart from installation, riding is awesome. No vibrations, I can feel 1800CC torque and the speed in freeway. I recommend it to my friends.

I should have installed this years ago! It fit perfect and looks great. My passenger loves it, and it makes it easier for me when she is on the back.

The brackets don't fit my '89 Harley, I had to discard the connecting brackets and fabricate my own, including redrilling the mounting holes. So they shouldn't call this a "universal" mount, but offering some sizing options would help. The size of the holes for aligning the headlight also seem kind of arbitrary - I fabricated a set of washers because the holes were so large.

Fit was good, no adjustments or modification needed, looks good, needed extra luggage space.

I bought these mainly because I liked the looks. About a week after installing them, somebody rearended the bike in a parking spot and knocked it off the kickstand and then left. I came out to my bike laying on the bars and my saddlebag. But the bars did their job so well that there was not a scratch on my bike where it fell over. There was a small hardly noticeable rash in the chrome The bike rolled right back up with little effort, thanks to the bars. Highly recommended.

I bought the supports for an 07 Honda Shadow Spirit C2 but bought the version for a regular Spirit, not the C2. The product didn't fit and they don't offer a version for the C2 so I ended up purchasing a set of Cobra supports. The MC supports are far superior, though they function fine. The MC supports have more bends in the tubing to make a nice flat surface for the bags to rest on and the metal rod is a thicker diameter than the Cobras. The chrome finish is better too.
