Started using this when odometer rolled over to 100,000 miles and valve train seemed a little noisier than it used to. Just got home from a 10,500 mile run around the U.S. & part of Canada. Bike now has 120,000 miles and runs strong & quiet. I am convinced.
I have always used PJ1 blue label and when my local shop was out and I had a long ride planned this was all they had. Here is my initial, first ride and current thoughts: First application- was a damn mess, it came out too fast and dripped like it was WD-40 it looked like it coated well though. First ride- I let it sit overnight and wiped off excess before leaving, I rode 12 miles to fill up and it slung off everywhere, swing arm, tyre, fenders grrrr and after only 12 miles it the chain looked dry! I had to touch it to be sure it wasn't. Currently- I have 2500 miles or 7 cleanings and I like the way the chain stays looking clean but I am seeing wear on my sprocket that I didnt notice with the PJ1. I also dont have much confidence built up with the lucas because the chain always looks dry! Its an odd feeling that sticks in my mind. Overall it is okay but I am going back to PJ1.
This is a great oil for a great price. I can feel a difference in how my 954 shifts with this oil over the Honda hp4. If I can feel a difference in my mind its better. Smoother shifts and less clunking. I recommend this oil.
