I purchased these because the stock turn signals interfered with installation of saddlebags on my '03 Spirit 750. Installation was easy, using crimp splices, and the appearance and brilliance of the signals is outstanding! Stunning intensity, despite using easily changed (when necessary) filament bulbs. These are a nice product at a reasonable -- very reasonable -- price.
Battery worked well at first, and was fully charged prior to installation. Always top off with Battery Tender at least once per week. One day, after riding to work, nothing. Not even lights. Metered it at 0.1 volts.
Mirrors are of good quality but the arm joint uses a poor quality screw that doesn't keep the mirror in place. I may try what Richard of Mountain Brook, Al did to keep it from falling.
On the other hand the look is much nicer than the ugly lollipop mirrors that came with the bike and the coverage is excellent.
So even though this thing is recommended and a fit...the terminal posts are not in an ideal position. They sit on top and set back instead of flush with the side. Harley leaves no wire play and to go from a side flush mount to a top mount was nearly impossible. Plus these posts require a nut to be threaded from the bottom onto the screw going into the post. Wow what a massive pain in the...
Because of the mandatory top mount of the wires because of the post positions the battery couldn't slide entirely into the battery sleeve. So the battery cover wouldn't completely lock back into the joke. Needed to use a small black zip tie to keep the side cover on which is hidden by the seat.
However, bike started right up with the battery
