I bought this set of Hand Guards because they were inexpensive. I am installing them on a Street Bike because I wanted to mount a set of Moose Racing hand covers that are very large and give lots of protection from the weather. The Moose Racing hand guards are made from a cloth material and do not much rigidity and need a support backbone and a place to attach the hand guards. The Pro Grip Hand Guards have a plastic back bone not aluminum. But I am not planning on riding off road so all I want them to do is keep my Moose Racing hand guards in place. I have installed them with a little adjusting and some other parts I had, there on. Would not recommend these for off road riding use.
I have had quite a few grip types throughout my 24 years of riding sport bikes, and I have to say these rate right at the top of quality, value, and comfort. I've only had them for a couple of months as of late (installed August of 2015), and I am very satisfied thus far. I highly recommend them. And the price is outstanding for the quality and comfort as well. I have a 1998 Honda VFR Interceptor 800.
Just bought these grips put them on my bike and looks great. Came back in the morning to set the wire on and the grip were split all the way down on the throtel side. Tried to contact Progrip via email and also on there side sent them pictures and got no responce. Will Never Use Any PROGRIP Produt again they do NOT stand behind there product!!!!!
My bike needs two ea 7/8" size, so I buy two sets to get both sides done, and I have some spares for an as-yet unknown future project. These grips still let the heaters do their thing, and are comfortable on longer jaunts.
Fitted to: 1998 BMW K1200RS
