This is my first track suit. Got it at a holiday discounted price and for the price it just can't be beat. I normally wear a 42 jacket but that size in the track suit was a little too tight for comfort, so I went a size up to a 44 and it fit fine. Haven't had a chance to use it with the bike yet this season. One regret is that I didn't realize it did not come with spine protection - that seems like a requirement for any track suit. Other minor complaint is that the material in the sleeves can easily get caught up when putting your arm in - makes me wonder how long before i accidentally tear it. But again, for the price and for a beginner's first track suit, it can't be beat.
I went with AXO boots since my last pair we amazing and lasted 5 years of riding just about everyday. This new pair was extremely loose and low quality compared to my last pair. These only last 5 months before the cable snapped and cost $70 more than my last pair.
Light, true to size, great air flow. Am 5'10" and 175; for reference, normally wear size 50 for a Dainese. Equivalent in USA is 40-42.(Medium-Large)
Ordered Back Protector directly from AXO for 30 bucks.
Sleeves will catch the velcro on your short gloves (summer) and fray somewhat. No big deal for me.
Fits the same with back protection in or out.
This is a very comfortable knee guard with a tough outer shell and ample padding. The entire build seems high quality, including the straps. The only question I have is about the durability of the peg and hole connection of the straps to the guard. Seems a potential weakness as maybe the plastic peg could break off, but so far so good. I'm a street rider and wear these outside my pants. I really like these guards. They seem to be an excellent value.
