As far as warmth and materials I have no problems top notch, they are as warm as my old Carhart Coveralls with my Frogger rain pants to block the wind.
NOW As posted by others about the otter leg zippers,, whoever designed the otter leg zipper,,, they suck, 95% of the time the zipper get hung in the leg seal flap which is great for added sealing out elements but when the zipper gets hung in the flap material it is hung and a major pain to get lose.
NOTE: IF you have cat(s) or dog(s) these things work better than a Swiffer collecting pet hair... In short great worth the money, zippers suck.
This is the 3rd boot I've purchased over the past few years and is by far the best. I was primarily looking for a black boot that was a little stylish so this one easily fit the bill. But what really caught my attention was how much grip the sole has compared to the boot I currently use. And for a short woman (which I'm not) the wedge in the heel provides a lot of extra height. There's ample room in the calf area to tuck in my jeans and the decorative stitching gives them a nice feminine touch. Overall, this is a really good boot.
They fit well and look good but are not sub zero. this is why I bought them. I expected a lot more at 40 degrees F. They are not durable. All I am doing is holding a handle bar. Ski gloves do a much better job. Need a little more truth in advertising
After struggling 15 minutes to get them on you'll find they are too small ... the Velcro strap won't go through the buckle ... it's WAY to narrow ... provides zero traction on smooth surface so be careful walking ... worth maybe one half the price ... maybe less
