I had no problem with this tire other than it didn't last long. I ride a Triumph Street Triple R and use it mostly for touring. I don't remember why I got this tire (must have been really cheap) because I normally use ContiMotions. I have gotten over 14K on the Conti's and almost alwayd over 7K. These were about gone at 5,200. I probably could have gotten a few more mile (no steel showing) but I was on a trip and didn't want to caught in the middle of nowhere with a tire out.

I installed a set of Shinko Tourmaster 230's on my 81 Honda CX500. The old CX is my regular commuter. I travel between the Twin Cities and central Minnesota three days per week, about 300 miles per day, and commute somewhat shorter distances, and tour the upper midwest, the remainder of the time. I average about 15k miles per year. These tires now have about 11,000 miles of use this season. The front shows normal evidence of cupping, but it is very modest. I would estimate the front could run for another 4 to 5k. The zig-zag siping in the middle of the rear is still visible, but nearly gone. The tire squared off somewhat at about 5k, but still turns nicely. All things considered, this is an excellent tire. It is very grippy on dry pavement, and has even survived many miles of country dirt roads. My commute is in rain or shine, and I have generally found the wet traction to be very good. The 230's have substantially exceeded my expectations, and have performed better than a variety of old Dunlops. I consider 11k the outer limit for most touring tires, and these have certainly taken me to that limit. The only improvement would come from a dual compound tire, but for the price and performance I have had, I am very pleased with their performance.

I am very, very pleased and impressed with these tires. I have an old Goldwing and didn't want to spend a fortune and bought these after reading the reviews and I am impressed. It drives SO MUCH BETTER than with the Bridgestone tires! I couldn't believe how easily they mounted and how good they drive. I can't find a thing wrong with them yet, I don't know how far they they will go but as long as they keep driving like this I will be happy and will buy this brand again. I should have bought the heavy duty ones but these are definitely worth the money especially when compared to the competition. I got them in 3 days too!

10,000 miles on the front tire now. 5,000 of the miles are interstate riding between Pittsburgh, Pa and Las Vegas. Excellent in rain and wind. I now run these on all three of my BMWs. Can't say enough good about them.

Really good tire for what it cost.

No comparison with the Dunlop's I usually run. This in conjunction with the Shinko Raven I put on the back, makes cornering a thought process instead of a physical chore. I know they will not last as long, but would rather my tires grab the road, instead of just skimming the surface. Installed on a Buell Cyclone.
