This shoe runs a full size larger than all of my other shoes and boots. In athletic shoes, I typically were 10 or 10.5 depending on the manufacturer. I received a size 10 and it was WAY to big - it fit my neighbor that wears 11/11.5. Excellent shoe though, simply returned and re-ordered a size down. Great fit, VERY comfortable, but stiff enough that the pegs bother me on long rides. Great finish as well - well made and appears to have great attention to detail. Waterproof = yes, had dry feet after riding through a half hour downpour, but can be a little hot in the shoe on really warm days (94+ degrees)...
This will be the third pair of this boot for me.
Originally labeled Oxtar, I've seen no difference in fit and quality between the two. They are comfortable right out of the box and this latest pair was no exception.... wearing them to a rally down in the North GA mountains this past week. Very happy.
I've been looking for boots like these for years. I happen to be 5'8" tall and I could use a couple more inches of leg to reach the ground comfortably on my BMW motorcycle.
YOU DON'T CARRY MY SIZE. I WEAR A SIZE 11 M. I am tired of shoe sizes stopping at 9.5. Step up please!!!
I have a pair of these since about August 2008. It was around February 2016 when the gear shitfter pad gave. They withstood seven years of constant week-end riding and hiking through rain and sun. Very durable and comfortable; Also very lightweight and sturdy at the same time. Yes they do get hot inside, but that is part of its impermeability.
The fit & finish are just fine, very flexible, minimal arch support.
The tread is minimal & unusual and I worry about traction & tread durability.
Breathability is also a concern; feet seem to stay a little damper.
The biggest disappointment is the included stand-alone velcro toe protector, a shift protector should be integral to the left boot toe.
