I'm delighted with my First Gear Hi Viz mesh jacket. The fit was perfect and I ordered my size. On a recent ride, I was comfortable in a Tee shirt with the liner in place at 60 degrees. As the day warmed I simply removed the liner and was comfortable at 90+. Being 'seen' is very important to me.
I ordered a size 10. Typically for shoes I wear a 9.5. Even with the size 10, it fits like a 9.5 or detestably a larger size 9. I knew for a fact an 11 wouldn't fit me because I've never ranged that high, but if you wear a 10 or 10.5 for most of your shoes I'd order an 11. Other than that, these boots are exactly what I was looking for as far as height, durability, and style. Great product, no regrets at all!
For the past 8 years I wore the Firstgear "VeraTex" boots. They were great boots and lasted longer than expected. Alas they are worn out and I ordered the same size in Kili Lo WP boots by Firstgear. Although the boots claim to be the same size, they are not. The sole length is the same but the with is at least 1/2" narrower and the instep is so tight that my foot could not slide into the boot. Same manufacturer, same boot size but different actual size. Almost like a ladies boot. If I go to size 13 I may look clownish and that wouldn't do!
I originally ordered an XL size because the size chart matched my measurements. It was it too big, so much so the body armor would not stay in place. I exchanged it for a Large Tall size which fits great. I am 6'1" and 230 lbs with long arms (36"). There is still room for a fleece jacket underneath. The low rating for fit is because I had to exchange it.
I got the silver color because the lighter color should be cooler. It is almost white not silver, but that fine with me.
I have been riding in 98F temps and the airflow is great. As long as I am moving I stay cool enough. There are more pocket than I know what to do with.
I wear this suit when I go to work early in the morning. I am comfortably warm in 40° weather with just jeans and a long sleeve shirt underneath. Love this suit and glad I bought it. Definitely worth the money I spent.
Great bag. Used for my trip in Arkansas mountain riding. Only used bottom quick clip to wrap around passenger seat that is removable and stayed on bike with no problems. Didn't have to worry about other tie down straps.
