AWESOME Product

Might be the best $200 I've ever spent. I commute 25 minutes to downtown Boston everyday, so the weather is often poor...or downright awful. I used to take the train when it was less than 45 degrees, but now thanks to this suit I'm riding EVERY day aside from when there's snow or ice. Even when temps are in the teens or when it's in the high 30's and raining, this suit is keeping me warm and dry and I've been using it 5 days a week for about 5 months now. I only have two minor gripes: the pockets are not waterproof. They're certainly water *resistant* but I would often pull out my phone and wallet after a rainy ride and they would be quite damp. The other small issue is some stitching coming undone near the mid section. I think is from stress of taking it on and off everyday and while it's frayed a bit, the problem doesn't effect the warmth or dryness and doesn't appear to be expanding beyond a half inch. The Fit - I'm 5'10" 190 lbs and the only gear I'm wearing underneath the suit is a chest+back protector and I'm wearing a Medium. While it works, it's very tight in the mid section (I am 190 lbs, so I could afford to fix that problem personally) and it's also a little short on the legs. In hindsight, I think I would be more of a size Large. Net-net: this thing is GREAT especially considering the price.

Great pants

Ordered a size larger than my waist. Fit perfectly. Rode in mid 30 degree weather with the insulated liner for about 45 minutes, and my legs stayed warm (was wearing heated jacket). Suspenders did not pull pants up into my crotch, but kept them in just the right spot. Well constructed a nod easily zip into jacket. Very happy with these pants. Got them within 3 days of order.

Cool gloves

I got my pair and they fit just right. It's been a little cold around here but I wore them already a couple of times. This summer I know I will have well ventilated and dry hands. They seem a little more protective than my full thin leather driver gloves but not as much as my regular riding gloves that have protected knuckles and fingers. Yet very comfortable. I like the fact that I don't have to deal with snapping anything on and off. As long as my hands are cool and dry.

1st Gear heated glove liners are awesome!

I had one problem - the left hand thumb ripped badly the first time I donned the gloves. I continued to wear the gloves throughout my trip and aside from the big seam tear, they worked admirably! Very pleased overall. I may have torn the gloves by being too aggressive when I put them on the 1st time. Got little tiny electrical jolts when riding in rain for extended periods - after my leather thermal gloves became saturated. I'll probably order a fresh pair next winter!

Firstgear Dual Controller

It works as expected, like having the ability to adjust 2 things. Need more heat on my hands than I do the torso.
