Is ok - time will tell

Seems to be ok. The Velcro on the belt needs to be larger. Does not seem to hold well enough. Time well tell.

good bang for the $

So far I'm impressed. I rode 200 miles the other day and no comfort issues at all. I haven't tested them "yet" but I'm sure they would save the knee. Im little at 5'6" about 150lbs and I ordered the adults for me and I'm glad I did. I ordered the youth for the wife. I almost ordered the youth for me but I'm glad I didnt. They are a little too small for me but the adults fit just fine in case any of you smaller folks are wondering. My wife is about 5'2" at 105lbs and the youth fit her good.

Durability

This will last for maybe a season, but not any longer. It uses lightweight material at the expense of durability. As is the case with most things, you get what you pay for. I also bought a Leatte Chest Protector. The quality of that one was worse. Lost a screw that held it together in the first hour of use. None of the spares screws it came with were large enough to replace the missing one.
