So So

Just received this Bully Lock this morning. I really can't recommend this lock. It seems to be fairly strong, but as the video shows, a few whacks will break it open, but what is not said is when the alarm and pager system within was damaged enough to quit. Not big enough to go around my rear wheel (Honda VFR with standard rear tire). Much more importantly: The whole idea of an alarm is the fact that often, locking your bike to an immovable object is out of the question and I would often be relying on the alarm to alert me to theft. (The whole idea of having an alarm + pager) Theft as in four big guys lift my VFR into a waiting van, and drive off. OOPS! - the alarm is sooo insensitive that after it is armed, I can pick it up, turn it up side down and all about, even shake it hard enough to move the shackle, rattling back and forth , and walk about the neighborhood w it, (red light happily blinking) without it going off, or paging. Only when the lock is *violently* shaken, or sharply hit does the alarm begin to beep, and then in a moment go off, together with the paging. Quite disappointing.

Very good value for the money!

These bags are great for the price. They look good and do what they are intended to do just fine. I am a little careful when zipping/unzipping them since they are zippers and am uncertain about the zipper durability, but so far have had no issues and am very happy with them. Would recommend if you are looking for a non leather/cheaper bag!

Some good points, some not so much

I wanted all-weather protection; this isn't it. Does keep sun and crud off though. Good: Fits nicely and covers everything except the bottom of the rear wheel. No issue with hot mufflers. Not so good: Internal seam taping started coming off within a couple of uses as noted by other reviewers as well. Despite the vents, moisture can and does penetrate and build up under the cover. It won't fit as well if the rear trunk is present.

Maxima Hypoid Synthetic Gear Oil

I'm using in a BMW K1200LT and had it in the gear box and final drive for around 12k miles. Shifting continues to be so smooth. Considered changing it but the service interval on the label is 100k or five years. I'm a big believer in changing fluids, but why if you haven't come close to the change interval. Seems to be a big bang for the buck.

good bag

Fit on the bike great. Top bag kept sliding to one side when riding. I like that you can use the small bag for around town.
