    Warm, but BIG

Note that the M is size 42. If you plan to layer underneath, it can still fit a size 40 chest, though. Not very stylish, but it'll keep you warm/dry. Could be the ideal jacket for spring/fall touring. I like it because I can just throw it on for commuting on days when the weather might turn wet, not worrying about a downpour starting while I'm on the road. My major gripe is the chest and back "vents" dont vent directly to the body, but rather to the waterproof membrane, which is non-removable.

    So far so good

I ride 5 days a week around 65-70 miles and so far it's great. The fit is great, although I did take out the shoulder armor. The jacket has been holding up quite well, no loose seams or strings. It has great airflow with the vents open and liner out. On colder mornings I have the liner in and there is some airflow around the upper portion but I stay warm. All in all I think it's a great jacket so far and would recommend it to anyone out here in AZ that rides early in the morning.

    Great Jacket, only one complaint

Very happy with this jacket. It looks good, feels sturdy, and is very functional with lots of pockets and good reflectivity. I've worn it on some cold rides in the 40's and 50's and it kept me warm, which is the main reason I bought it. My only complaint is the collar is low and doesn't fit snug so cold air gets in unless I wear a neck warmer. With a neck warmer I was toasty, but if I want a taller collar with Velcro adjustment to create a positive seal against cold & rain.

    Tourmaster Transition 2 jacket

After reading all the reviews for this jacket, I ordered a 2x large instead of an xlarge. Well, it looked like I was wearing my Daddy's jacket... it was huge. The xlarge I received after sending back the 2x was even a bit large. Anyway, this is a very nice jacket for the money... I am getting more impressed with Tourmaster all the time.

    very nice jacket

I have just received this coat had it less than a month. The little I used it I really like the warmth, dryness and all of the many features it has. The only minus was inside on one of the sleeves was a broken elastic that ties the liner in. I just sewed it up myself. I really like it so far.

Tour Master - Transition Series 2 Jacket

Well, it is a very good jacket. The fit for me was perfect: XS chest 38, but on the charts they say xs is 40? Don’t no if it is one size more for the others so be careful. The sleeves are a bit short for me but this is the story of my life :) I drive every day to go to work and in the moment it is around 5 to 0 Celsius, yes this is a warm jacket but still very comfy and flexible. It is a bit heavy but not more than a leather one. For the price it is a must have!

Solid, Warm or Cool, Good Looking, Awesome

Good looking and solid design. I am a small guy (5'9", 150lbs) and I like my stuff snug so I ordered an XS. I first ordered a medium but it was much too large. Exchanging it was a breeze. The vents are more than enough for those hot days. Close them up and you are warm enough for a 30min ride in 50 degree weather without the liner. Waterproofing is solid too. I was in a solid rain for 30min and the jacket kept me totally dry.

    Hot pockets

I got the jacket on closeout so could only get brown. Nonetheless, I love it. If you read the forums, you would never ride without armor and this jacket has it. The zippered vents are so good they create drag and ventilation in hot weather than I expected. Like little parachutes, but you can adjust them by closing the zippers. With temps in the 80's with the liner out, this jacket can be hot if you are sitting in traffic, but it is fine on the road.

    Transitions 2 Jacket

I bought a Transitions 2 Hi Viz in 2010. It has held up well, aside from some color fading. I recently field tested its safety features. I hit at deer at 40-45 mph then slid and rolled along the asphalt. Both jacket shoulders and elbows were torn; with misc tears all over the jacket. MY elbows and shoulders were bruised, but no road rash. My right arm abraded a little inside the sleeve. I thank the good LORD and my Transitions Jacket for walking away with most my skin.

Tour Master - Transition Series 2 Jacket

The cost benefit is what puts this jacket over the top. Outstanding technical qualities; zippers, pockets, liner, reflective properties, armor... everything adds up to an outstanding jacket that is very tough to beat for the price.

    Great Value and Function

Strong zippers. That's the key to a jacket like this because they are the first component to fail in a lesser quality product (like my Frogg Toggs). This jacket is heavy and very warm, so not for summer wear even with the liner out, but you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a cool to cold weather armored jackets. I will probably buy Tourmaster again given the quality of this product.

    Great jacket

I bought and returned a number of jackets, and I'm very happy with this one. Fit, look, and style are all great. When we were in the 90s-100s, it didn't feel all that hot, even (although I was surprised I'd been sweating a ton when I took it off). Haven't tested it yet in colder weather. I am 5'9" and 165 and like clothes to be close fit, so I bought a small and it is just right.

    old guy

this is the second one i bought from you guys and is the best alternative to leather i have ever used. when the weather is hot this jacket can still provide protection and be comfortable to wear. the liner extends the riding season for its use especially when adding the tourmaster pants with matching zipper at back
